this is a fast hairdryer

I have very thick hair and it usually takes at least five minutes to dry. The first time I used this it took less than two minutes. In fact it was too fast, I didn't have time to style it! I was amazed at the power. I will have to get used to the settings and I will eventually. As for the weight, this is a salon class hairdryer. If you want a light hairdryer don't buy a salon model. I still have my old Babyliss hairdryer and it still works after over 15 years. The after care service is very good. The hairdryer is guaranteed for 3 years which is good. My old dryer broke while still guarantedd and they fixed it for me.

I found that the dryer was a little heavy, the control buttons were in an awkward position, and the nozzle end got very hot.

That's the very best deal that I've done in terms of hair product. It dry your hair fast and gives it a natural shine. It is just amazing

This dryer is a great buy. You can feel the quality when you hold it. Even at the highest heat setting my hair feels much silkier than it did with my other store-bought dryers. Reasonably priced - worth the buy!

I wasn't as impressed as everyone else seemed to be in their reviews. I bought the product after using an ionic dryer for the first time at a hotel. It wasn't this same dryer but after reading the reviews I thought it was well worth the money to try out the babyliss. After trying it out, it hadn't done the same for my hair as the hotel hairdryer (which turned out to be a cheaper brand), I was a bit disappointed. That's not to say that it's not a good product, it is, but I probably could have done a little better for a little less.

This hair dryer performs excellently. It drys my hair in no tome at all. It is much better than the ones I normally purchase in retail stores.

I have a cheap hair dryer that works fine but takes FOREVER! I convinced myself that I deserved something high-tech and efficient. Now I own one seriously efficient hair dryer. The Babyliss is sleek and not heavy. Some people didn't like the placement of the buttons but it never caused me any problems.
Most importantly . . . this dryer is fast! I use it with a diffuser and I spend about 5 minutes drying my curly hair (on low!) in the morning. If I am going out at night then I take a little longer to get it totally dry. I am never using a cheap hair dryer again!
I loked at some other models. I knew I wanted an ionic dryer and I needed one that had a diffuser attachment. (The Babyliss diffuser is sold separately. It snaps on and stays put.) There were a few models for around $20 but the review on Amazon revealed that they were not as dependable. I wasn't going for a $100-$200 model. The Babyliss looked perfect and it has met all my expectations. The cord is 9 feet long.

I love this hair dryer! A girlfriend recommended it to me and I'm so glad I listened to her. I have long, fine hair and I have gone months without drying my hair in the mornings simply because it takes too long. With this hair dryer, I can completely dry my hair in 3 minutes -- AND there are no fly-aways! I still have static issues about half-way through the day, but I'm sure that's the New England weather! I would HIGHLY recommend this hair dryer!

working in a salon, i know from experience NOT to recommend this dryer.
its not what you could be getting for the price you are paying- common, shell out the extra $40 and get a good and proper dryer that u love, and doesnt weigh 20lbs.
i just returned mine- hated it. and the people at the shop said they've had many more returned already.

I purchased this as a gift for my daughter-in-law when she recently completed her cosmotology course. She could not have been more surprised or pleased with this. I am so glad to have given her such a greatley appreciated present.

I absolutely am thrilled that I purchased this hair dryer. I have thick hair which seems like an eternity to dry when I decide to use a hair dryer. My hair seems to dry much quicker and feel so much softer and smoother without the static.
I also love the feel of holding the hair dryer. The coating on this dryer is much easier than others that I have used in the past - it seems like a velvety rubber texture. The cord length is also a bonus and makes it easier for me move around in my bathroom.
I would highly recommend this product to my friends. The attachment for it is easy to add and remove and I do not have a problem w/a diffuser either.

The best blow dryer I've ever used. Takes out all the static from my hair. So much easier to straighten my hair now. Would recommend to anyone especially if you are straightning you hair every day like I do.

I bought the Babyliss in December and I think it's fantastic. Although it is a little heavy on the hands, it makes my hair shiny and drys fast. At first I would accidently press different buttons because they are inconveniently close together, I got used to it and held it in a different position and everything is alright.

The only drawback as mentioned before is the location of the buttons. But other then that it's a great dryer and i high;ly reccomend it, especially at the price i paid for it.

I use to texturize my hair and decided a year and a half ago to return to my beautiful naturally curls. Like most black women who are making this tuff decision I was very worried about how to manage my hair during the growing out phase. For me, cutting off all relaxed hair was not an option just because short hair would not compliment my face. I decided that I would continue to blow dry and flat iron my hair until all relaxed hair was trimmed out. I found that this hair dryer did a fantastic job during the transition. It saved my hair from being dried out and most people could not tell that I had stopped putting a relaxer in my hair. My hair is softer and healthier now than it was before. Of course having the occasional treatment has also contributed to the health of my locks but I truely recommend this product for those who want the results of a hot hair dryer without the damage. In addition, I also read the reviews before I purchase this product. Although the buttons could be better place it was a minor adjustment to make and within two uses there were no accidental shut-offs.

I love the BabyBliss Carrera hair dryer. It dries my hair within minutes and my hair is not frizzy at all. The blow dryer makes my hair shiny and soft. I have used nice $25 and $30 blow dryers in the past and none have them can even compare to the BabyBliss hair dryer. The BabyBliss is awesome. I didn't realize how poorly my cheaper blow dryers dried my hair until I started using the BabyBliss dryer. I will definitely recommend this blow dryer to others.

Love this blow dryer - lightweight & small, yet powerful (1900 watts). Really makes my hair shiny for some reason and seems to blow hair dry very quickly. The texture on the outside of the blow dryer makes it stay put on the counter if I put it down while still running - which I tend to do alot during styling. Best blow dryer I've had in a while.........

This is a really great hair dryer. My daughter loved mine so much that she was always using it, so I ended up getting her one of her own. It really does leave your hair smoother and has a nice weight/balance. The only reason I didn't give it an "excellent" rating is that the rubberized housing peels off really easily, so it's not long before the dryer isn't looking too good. However, this doesn't affect the performance. Overall a real nice product.

The Babyliss Pro Carrera Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer not only blows my hair out quickly but reduces the amount of frizz. It would take me 30-45 minutes to do my hair now it takes about half the time. A quick blowout and a run through with the flat iron and I'm out the door.

I hesitated buying this because of the price - never spent more than $20 on a hairdryer, but I love this hairdryer. It's a bit heavy and it's easy to turn it off while holding it, but it dries great and my hair looks great. Worth the money.
