I love my blow dryer is the best one I have gotten so far - I am getting my own hair done in half the time. I am very happy with it.
Great Hair Dryer!

I bought this hair dryer, because my hair dresser uses it and I love it. I have thick curly hair and when I use this blow dryer it comes out straight and soft. Im also african-american and I havent relaxed my hair in almost 2 years so u can imagine how good this blow dryer works if my hair comes out straight. Tip: Use Biosilk on your hair before you blow dry it(you only need about a palm size amount). I have a $17.38 wal-mart flat iron and my hair looks like I have been to a hair salon.
Dangerous

I had this dryer for over 2 years and it recently started making rattling noises, so I thought that it was getting ready to burn out. But instead, it exploded on me. It started sparking where the cord meets the handle and then exploded. The cord blew off and disconnected from the handle while I was using the dryer and the cord was still plugged into the electrical outlet. I thought that this might just be a fluke accident with my dryer until I saw the same comments on a review from this site. Be aware that this might be a very common dangerous defect. I could have been seriously injured had the live disconnected cord hit me or if the ambers flying through the air after the explosion had landed on me. Be very cautious!
Best Hair Dryer I've Owned...

My previous hair dryers were from conair & revlon. At the time I thought they functioned well, but then I decided to upgrade and buy this bad boy. My hair is long & super thick. (I once blew out a fuse at the salon when my hairdresser, at the time, decided to use 2 more stylists to blow dryer my hair since we were running late.) This hairdryer cut down the work by 1/2 the time of the others. It is a bit heavy, but its worth the time it saves me, plus it leaves my hair shiny & smooth. An added bonus is I get a bit of an arm workout while I'm at it. I've had this hairdryer for a little over a year & have had no problems yet. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an efficient & effective blow dryer.
Had it for almost 4 years

I bought this hair dryer nearly 4 years ago and I still love it. I can see how some people may say the heat is too much, but personally I hate when hair dryers don't have enough heat and/or power. This dries my hair fairly quickly and like I said, I've had it a really long time and it's still working just as well as the day I got it. It's been on many, many trips with me! Even my boyfriend loves it. Seriously, any time I stay with him he wants to use it. Great hair dryer :)
blown away

I am literally blown away by this hair dryer. It's small, but more powerful than any other blower I have ever owned. I was looking for a dryer that not only had a powerful wattage, but also a strong air flow. Highly recommend.

Hi everyone..
So I bought this dryer about 2-3 months ago and I was searching near and far for a blow dryer this good. So far it has a blessing to me. I am sumone that has never known how to tame my soft yet very curly hair. I wanted to purchase a dryer that would leave my hair soft and would cut my timing in half. And this dryer not only leaves it soft, super straight, and cuts the timing, it does so well that I barely have to use the iron.
I recommend this blow dryer to everyone.
Does the job but its dangerous

when i first used the blow dryer, it gave sparks then it shut off on me, I then stopped using it. THEN for the second time I decided to use it again and Again IT BLEW SPARKS ,now the blow dryer does not work ,so when I examined the blow dryer because this has never happen to me EVER, I noticed that the cord closest to the handle part was exposed and you can see the inside of the cord and the coils were all melted!
Very dangerous
Outstanding Hair dryer

I bought this hair dryer from Folica over 7 years ago. My stylist had a professional model and I was very impressed.
I found the Carrera model on the website. This is a most impressive hair dryer. Best ever. Drys hair quickly and seems to be shinier. This hair dryer works as well today as when I purchased it. Forgot to pack it when traveling one week and had to use the hairdryer in the hotel room. What a difference. Hair looked frizzy, dull and took a long time to dry. No question this BaByliss Carrera is a outstanding.
From my view it's a 5 star hair dryer built to last.

This is the best hairdryer I have ever owned and I've had my share. Not only does it deliver but it is quiet and the rubberized casing and grips is terrific. Besides being light (for a dryer) it so easy to hold. Its worth every penny!
Long lasting, superior hair dryer!

Before I spent the extra money on this salon quality hair dryer, I went through cheap ones (Conair, etc) that I bought at the drugstore about 2x a year-huge waste of money. This is the best hairdryer I've ever owned. The investment is worth itself several times over-mine has been in great working order for over 4 years! The button placement I agree, is annoying-I usually change the temperature accidently when I'm drying my hair. The pros outweigh that one con, for sure. Highly recommend.
Good Blow Dryer, horrible buttons

I've spent a fortune on blow dryers and decided I wouldn't this time so I got this one. I like the heat/velocity of the blow dryer... however, the placement and type of buttons are horrible! I turn it off by accident every single time I blow dry my hair. I wouldn't buy this one again. But, it does the job and I like it.

Be aware from this hair dryer....If you do not want your hair burned. The heat is too much, even on my hair which is thick and curly. My ends became a disaster! Ive used a lot of hair dryers and this is the worst. Now I got the Conair Pro climatic 2000, and I take a little longer to get my hair done, but leaves my hair shiny and soft.
Good while it lasts

My daughter really likes the performance of this dryer. Unfortunately, it lasted only 1 year, 2 months to the day. I think that for the money it should have lasted MUCH longer. I myself have used it and was pleased with the results but now that I need to buy one to replace the one purchased last year I'm looking into other brands. I probably will again purchase a Babyliss, hoping that it will last longer.
Absolutely love it!

I was a bit hesitant to spend this much money on a hair dryer (I've always had cheap ones). But my hair is so thick, it takes so long to dry it everyday that I finally decided to buy a better hair dryer. I am SO happy with this dryer. I've had it about 4 months now and have had no problems with it. It gets my hair dry in about half the time of my old, cheaper model. It also makes my hair shinier and less frizzy. It's amazing how a higher quality hair dryer can make such a difference! The only complaint(s) I have about it is it's a little heavy, and the on/off switch is right where your hand grips the dryer, so I turn it off accidentally at least once each time I dry my hair. But it's worth it to have such a great hair dryer!
pretty good

It dries my thick hair really quicky. The design of the handle was a pain in the neck at first(the cold air button is on the top and the buttons are placed where you normally put your fingers), but you get used to it after a couple uses. Be carefully when using the hot setting...it litterally started to melt my hairbrush. My hair stylest sister-in-law recommended babyliss...it's totally worth the money. My hair looks healthier and softer. It just takes some getting used to with this product.
It was a waste of money

Breaks Fast

I loved this dryer. I have pretty curly, shoulder-length hair and it takes about 30 minutes to blowdry my hair straight and I had to use the flatiron less. This dryer works fast and I especially loved the medium heat setting as it didn't damage my hair as much as high and left it shinier and softer too. Unfortunately in less than a year the medium setting gave out and shortly after that it stopped working altogether. It shuts off after about 2 minutes of use then I have to shut the power off and wait. I don't like that the nozzle attachment doesn't snap in but slides over. It gave me a good run for the price I paid. I got good results for the time I had it. I will definitely buy it again but as a backup.

This is a great blow dryer but the heating coil burned out after a year. Fortunately the dryer was still under warranty and the manufacturer sent me a new one. I previously rated this with 5 stars, but I'm rating it again with four. If Babyliss can work on the longevity of the heating coil, they would have a fantastic blow dryer, because it really is an excellent blow dryer for people with coarse, wavy hair who want to straighten it.
Love It!

This hair dryer is great. I have used it just about everyday for 2 or more years and have had no problems. Helps to straighten my un-manageable hair. I do use a curling iron or straight iron to smooth out after blow drying. Cuts down drying time. While it is a little heavy, you get used to it pretty quickly. The buttons are in a funny place but you also get used to it. Well worth the money would buy another tomorrow and would also buy it as a gift.
