pretty good

This blow dryer definitely dries hair quicker than the average blow dryer, and it is heavier than the average blow dryer. But I wouldn't exactly say it makes your hair feel any softer or anything like coming from the salon like all the other reviews rave about. I have straight rather thick hair and for me when I used this, my hair doesn't "frizz" but it still turns out poufy and a not soft texture and still requires straightening for smoothness.
Dries my hair in half the time!

It ususally takes me 10 to 15 minutes to dry my hair because it is so porus from hair color treatments. This dryer takes the dread out of doing my hair every day. It takes maybe 5 minutes to go from wet to dry.
Worth the $$$

The money spent on this Thermal Ionic Hair Dryer is worth every penny. If you're used to a good hair dryer the weight of this model won't bother you. The only suggestion, allow the concentrator nozzle to sit both horizontally and vertically. Otherwise, this professional hair dryer is perfect!
Very Nice

It's a great hairdryer. I used to have the Solano, and I think this is better. It feels much lighter. My only complaint is that the concentrator attachment will only attach horizontally, not vertically because of the ionic design. It's probably correct to use it the way it is made, but I've always held the hairdryer with the concentrator vertical.

This blower is the best, its dries my hair fast and striaght... I bought this item so i can just blow my hair so that i can iron my hair, but it turns out that at times i dont need the iron. The only thing i dont like is that the nozzle comes off alot.
My hair looks fabulous!

I have baby fine very straight hair and this hair dryer made my hair look healthy and full of body. It's incredible! This is a heavy solid hairdryer. It doesn't feel "cheap". I agree with other reviewers who said the buttons are in the wrong place. I keep turning the hairdyer off or changing the setting accidently as I'm drying my hair. Other than that, my hair looks REALLY good.
It's not *that* heavy.

The Babyblyss dryer is fabulous. I've always had annoyingly frizzy, hard to style hair, and this dryer produces salon-like results in less than 10 minutes. Whereas I used to dread doing my hair and ended up just wearing a ponytail most of the time, now I (almost) enjoy the process of styling it, and the results last all day. Also, this dryer is not nearly as heavy as other reviewers made it sound; it's heavier than my last one was, but after the first day I didn't even notice it. The only complaint I have is that the concentrator gets blown right off whenever I use the turbo power, so I had to use a thick rubber band to hold it in place. Overall, though, I'm thrilled with the Babyblyss (in spite of the silly name).
Love this dryer!!!

I read the other reviews and was nervous to make the purchase based on the issue alot of people had with the weight of the dryer. I didn't have a problem with the weight. It dries my hair so much faster than my other dryer and my hair is smooth and silky and stays that way throughout the day!! I love this dryer and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of making the purchase. It's worth every penny in my mind!!!!

I was skeptical about this dryer when my boyfriend purchased it for me. He was so excited about it because he knows I'm slightly hair obsessed and love great hair products as much as the next girl. I've always bought my hairdryers at the drugstore. I am so pleasantly surprised by this dryer. It's motor sounds completely different that drugstore dryers. It has a quite strength about it. It is heavier than most dryers, but I don't mind. Now to my hair. It is much smoother, softer, and straighter than ever. What a joy.

I like this hair dryer. Have very full thick hair and it does dry much quicker than most dryers.
Don't plan on using the concentrator nozzle

I have to say this dryer did dry my hair faster than my old Conair Silverbird, however I was unable to achieve the straightness I like because the concentrator nozzle does not stay on. The nozzle simply slips over the end of the dryer with nothing to hold it in place. What happens is as you are drying the nozzle will fall off if it bumps your brush or if you hold the dryer down vertically. I will be returning the dryer because of this fact. I am not sure what I will buy next though, because on the Folica website you are unable to see the actual concentrator nozzles on most dryers.
Love it!!

I had been looking at this dryer for several months before I decided to purchase it. I had read the reviews and everything sounded good, but I still had my doubts. Boy, was I wrong! Using this dryer has cut my drying time in over half and I barely have to use my flat iron to touch up. I should mention I have very thick, naturally curly hair. My hair is so much shinier and healthy looking after I style with this dryer - who'd have thought a hair dryer could make such a big difference?? Worth every penny -- seriously!

While the hairdryer did dry my hair fast, it left my hair dried out and frizzy. I'm going back to my Solano.

at first I thought I found a really nice blow dryer( you know the ones that you seen in the salon) anyways! Also I read the reviews and saw nothing but high marks. So I bought the hairdryer. wasn't that great. my hair is thin and coarse and long (asian hair). I felt know diffrence between the old hair dryer i got at walmart. my hair is still the same straight not smooth with no body and still Damp. but only shiny . from me 1 *

I bought this dryer 3 weeks ago at Folica.com, and I like it. First of all, it is faster than my Remington dryer and a lot quieter. I also notice the softness of my hair after using this one, and although the air coming out feels hot, I can tell it does not scorch the hair. I usually use my Sedu straightener (another excellent product I purchased through Folica) after I blow dry. Using Babyliss to dry hair first even makes the straightening time a lot less, too. I don't fully understand the reason for this, but I guess because the negative ion closes the Follicles of the hair it makes it easier for further styling. In short, this is a great product. It is well worth the money, and I think highly of Folica.com's customer service and its excellent speed in fulfilling customer orders.

The dryer doesn't get my hair quite as straight as the pictures would show, but it definitely is gentle to my hair and it's less frizzy when I'm done drying it. Great hairdryer!

works well,my hair looks good, drys fast.. but it's a very heavy blow dryer. Another thing... is that the switch is placed in the part of the handle that can flip the dryer off accidentally, you have to hold it just so, so as not to turn it off by mistake. This is a pain.
too hot

i really wanted to like this dryer... but the temperature was so hot, i thought it might burn my hair! there are only two temperature choices - "regular" and cold. and the regular was way too hot for everyday use. i liked everything else about this product though. and i didn't find it heavy like some of the other reviewers did. but since i want to avoid burning off my hair, i had to return it :(
