I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT FOR MY WIFE. A HARD HAT HAIR DRYER. PRIOR TO THIS ONLINE PURCHASE. SHE DRAGGED ME EVERYWHERE, AND I MEAN EVERYWHERE. TARGET, WALMART, SALLYS BEAUTY SUPPLY, JCPENNY, SEARS AND SEVERAL MORE I CAN'T REMEMBER. THE ONE SHE WANTED NEEDED TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE TEMP SETTING. NO ONE HAD IT. MY WIFE IS A LITTLE LEARY ABOUT SHOPPING ONLINE. I TOLD HER I WOULD HANDLE IT FOR HER. I FOUND YOU GUYS AFTER GOOGLING AND IT JUST ALL WORKED OUT. MUCH BETTER PRICE THAN THE ONE TEMP SETTING WE SAW, BETTER QUAILTY AND GREAT SERVICE. MY WIFE IS EXTREMLY HAPPY WITH IT, AND I GOT TO WATCH THE SUPER BOWL IN PEACE, WHILE SHE DONE HER HAIR. TRUE STORY!

I like the BaByliss hairdryer but recommend using a deep conditioner before setting hair for drying as it is easy to over-dry hair.

The Babyliss Hard Hat dryer is awesome! It's the type of at-home dryer I have been looking for, for years. Now I can receive close to the type of results I receive at a salon.

First, it looks good - no problem here. I ordered the gray and black one. I have very thick hair but it dried my roller set hair in 30 min - evenly. I don't have any problems with the height, nor the size. What I did and do have problems with is the NOISE. How incredibly loud it is. It sounds like being in an airplane all the time but just much louder. Seriously, I would have liked to send this back just because of the noise -- however, I am not going to send it back because of the hassle with packing, the huge box etc. Other than the noise though, it dried my hair evenly -- I just hope my kids don't scream for help when I am under this hairdryer. I just won't be able to hear them. Although this hairdryer is a bit pricey, I would glad have paid more for one with less noise.
Great product-worth every cent!

I have really thick curly hair that takes hours to air dry. With this dryer I'm able to wash my hair in the morning (rather than at night) and dry most of it in about 15 minutes without frizzing it out! I sit under the dryer and and do my makeup (really efficient). I can now leave my house on a cold morning with my hair 70% dry. It's really unbelievable!

This is the best blow drier out there. Why? Let me explain...
Well, I have such frizzy curly long thick hair which takes forever to blow dry. It has always been such a pain to blow dry my hair all the time because it took me forever, AND my arm would be aching regardless of the blow dryer I used.
So I bought this babyliss hard hat dryer and crossed my fingers. Now, all I had to do to blow dry my hair was sit back, grab a magazine, and relax! Now, if only I could find a machine that would flat iron my hair...

i take it out and set it up, turn it on and do what i need to do with it, clean it up and then put it back it my closet when i am done. I am a self proclaimed platinum blonde and i like that this dryer gives me the freedom to do my own hair at my own house and don't have to pay hair dressers who screw up my hair. Also it is very good for deep conditioning treatments and for setting rollers hair dues for those crazy nights :P

My hair is very thick and takes all day to dry naturally, even though my hair is shorter than chin-length. Some parts of my hair are curlier than others, and I want to "play up" the curly look. Using a diffuser often straightened out and/or frizzed the less curly parts of my hair. The Babyliss, however, lets me encourage curls where needed. I wash my hair, apply product, scrunch a little, finger-arrange some areas the way I want them, and my hair dries just the way I want it to. For part of my drying time I "sit backwards" under the dryer so that the front part of my hair gets lots of heat. CAUTION: The plastic bonnet is fragile and I cracked the movable hood without realizing it. I was so enamored with the performance of the dryer that I assumed the housing was also of superior quality. Just take care when you roll it around and when you try to stuff it into a corner or closet.

Dryer looks nice but takes a long time to heat up; after 45 minutes still not very hot and hair not very dry. Base is stable but too large to fit closely under most chairs (have to lean up against pole to get head under hood, which is awkward and uncomfortable).
Was out of stock when I ordered so took a while to get. Too bad they got more in. Wish I had returned package.

I have curly, curly hair and use special products that allow me to wear my hair 'naturally'. It requires me to dry my hair with a hand held diffuser (which, by the way, takes forever). I have been looking for some time for a hood salon style dryer- affordable and the right size for home use. The BabyBliss is the answer to my prayers.How did I live without it!! I now sit in the morning sipping my coffee and watching the Today Show while my hair dries (much quicker,too) effortlessly. It also does a phenomenal job of keeping my curls in place during the drying process and the result looks like I just walked out of a salon.

this is a excellent product. you can sit in any chair,anywhere and dry your hair. it dries quickly and well. it is easy to put together. try it you'll like it.

I bought this to use for root touch-ups for my resistant gray hair, as this is how my stylist gets the color to penetrate my grays - apply the color and sit under the dryer for 5-10 minutes or until scalp just gets hot, then leave the color on for another 20-35 minutes, depending on the color brand/type.
Although the heat and fan speed are not nearly as strong as salon dryers, this still does the job. It's also good for using with rollers, as my hair dries really quick!
The cons: It can be difficult to adjust the height due to arthritis & fibromyalgia in my hands, and if you use big rollers, your head won't fit all the way under the bonnet, especially in the back part.

I dithered about buying this because of the price, but took my Christmas $$$ and did. DEFINITELY worth the investment. My hair is shinier, healthier and holds a set longer--if you roller-set, you get salon-quality hair without the salon visit. Don't know what your salon charges, but here in LA, a roller set averages $50. I've already recouped the money I would otherwise have spent.
Only negative: this thing is big, and it does need its own dedicated space. Most of us put it in a closet and roll it out when needed. One cautionary note: all the mechanics are in the head, which is removable, so either carry it separately and roll the base, or be careful as you roll.

I love this hair dryer. It dries my hair faster than my previous unit. The only negative is the size. I store it in my coat closet and roll it out when needed.

I really like being able to dry my hair in different areas of the house. The only thing I would change if I could would be to extend the height a bit higher. I have higher chairs and it barely reaches over the top. Drying time is excellent and I am still glad I went on and invested in this product so far. Much better than the table top dryers.
I can't believe I waited so long to buy this!

I put off buying this for a while due to the price (compared to regular hardtop dryers), but I'm glad I finally did. I love the freedom I have when I use it. I can sit in practically any chair/sofa in my home (I often dry my hair while paying bills or shopping online or to visit new sites I never have enough time to really explore).
My drying routine is about once a week and it's dramatically reduced the time I normally had to set aside to do my hair--whether drying after wet-setting, or deep conditioning.
It was easy to assemble, and while sturdy, it's not bulky.
I recommend this to all of my friends. It's turned what used to be a chore and all-around PITA (finding a table the right height, toppling phone books, a weak motor), to something effortless.
Completely and totally worth the money.

Well, I bought this hair dryer for a Christmas present to me from me, and I really love it. I can sit under it and read magazines and do word puzzles and the time really flies by. Before you know it, your hair is dry set and you are ready to go. I have a 7 pound precious little Yorkshire Terrier named "Precious" and the other day after her bath, I decided to sit her under the Babyliss. Well, I only wish I had bought this hair dryer sooner, because she loved it as well as Mommy, and the ion switch just helps make her coat so soft, shiny, silky and beautiful! I should have taken a picture of her, she was so cute sitting under this thing! So go ahead and purchase one today, you'll be glad you did and for all of you out there who owns a little "Precious" like me, they'll love you for it too!

The best way to dry your curly hair is by letting it air dry, naturally. However, for some of us, that could take the better part of a day. The blow dryer with a diffuser is better than a blowdryer without a diffuser, but not by much. This hair dryer is great and convenient, especially if you can leave it set up with a chair. It doesn't take long to dry my hair; but even so my hands are free to do other things: check email on the laptop, eat a piece of toast, open my mail, etc... I wish I would have purchased this years ago! Suggestion: If you have a walk-in closet, have an electrical outlet installed and leave this dryer set up with a chair. It will change your life and make you much happier with your curls.
