Not worth it

I bought this 6 months ago and it is no longer working. The plates are black now and it made my hair smell burned. It heats (heated) up pretty fast but it took me a long time to get it real straight. If you have thick curly hair DO NOT buy this model but invest in a more expensive....
amazing!

My friend has this straightener and I tried it one time-- I can't believe how good it worked!! The plates were heated in no time, and I started straightening and its THE best straightener I've ever tried!!
I have a little past shoulder lengthed hair when it's not straightened (I have light/natural corkscrew curls), but with this straightener I couldn't believe how long my hair was!!
Absolutaly amazing, I'm looking into buying the same one!
Highly recomended!
Use it properly!

I think this iron is fantastic. I bought it about 4 months ago, and it still works great, and the plates DONT discolor or peel. My hair is super straight, and soft and smooth even though I use it every day, and I get compliments all the time. It heats up in just a few seconds! If you have problems with it, maybe your heat setting is too high (I put it halfway up and its super hot!)or you put too big sections of hair in it and it snags. Anyway, it takes me 10 minutes max. in the morning to straighten all around. I recommend using a good conditioner to protect your hair. Seriously, this product is GREAT and I recommend it to everyone. Just use it properly!

I bought this straightener thinking it would be good because it was babyliss. This straightener takes me long to straighten my hair and I have very thin hair. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!!
great!!

I love it!!! I've tried so many iron and expensive ones but...this one is the best. I have long, wavy, freeze hair
and once i wah and blow dry my hair and use the iron it makes my hair very volumized, healthy and beautiful..it's a keeper thumbs up.
Poor design but powerful plates

Babybliss irons are horribily designed which is a shame because the plates are quite powerful and smooth. There is a frame holding the plate to the iron and it causes my hair to snag all the time. After using this iron for 6 months I notice my hair is a lot thinner. This design flaw also makes it difficult to curl the hair. There is also a bar between the two blades of the iron that makes it impossible to press the plates down tightly meaning that I have to go over and over the hair to get it smooth.
Don't waste your money!

This flat iron was awful. Within a month of purchase the plating started to discolor. Heating was uneven and damaged my hair. Within 4 months this flat iron wouldn't even turn on or heat up (I used the iron only 2-3 times a week). Because I did not have the original packaging, I couldn't even replace the product through the warranty. After reading other reviews, I'm ordering a Solia!
Great Iron, but had problems with workmanship of product

I bought this iron about 2 months ago. I love the way it works, but I had problems with peeling on the plates. I've returned it and have gotten it replaced. We'll see how this one goes. Maybe I had a bad one. Otherwise it worked great.
Not so sure about this one

I bought this flat iron 2 weeks ago and i was so exited that as soon as i got it i started doing my hair. The iron does straighten my hair but I do notice that i have to section my hair and go through it a couple of times to get it super straight. The other thing i noticed is that the plates do not close tight so the plates don't make perfect contact with my hair. Now i'm thinking that that's the reason why my hair does not get straight so easy. I have thick wavy hair and it still feels like the plates dont catch my hair, and when i'm done my hair is not really shiny and it almost looks a little stiff. i am in a dilemma, I am actually thinking of getting the Solia and trying that one since it has great reviews.
I LOVE THE BABYLISS

I LOVE this flat iron. It is lightweight, the plates heat up immediately and it makes my hair silky straight. I have relaxed hair so I was worried about putting it at a low temperature to try and protect my hair, but it still worked. Great iron! I suggest it for anyone! :)
