Wow!!! I totally agree, yes my hair has gotten caught in the vents and smells like burning hair, yikes!and where the brush connects to the handles ouch! I found that I need to take smaller sections of hair(this requires patience) I like this way better then blow drying my hair before I flat iron it. I still have fly away hair because the air comes out from everywhere within the brush. (I tame it down afterwards with hair serum). This is my routine...it might help some of you! I put heat protector all over my hair, then I section my hair (start at the bottom first) separate hair making horizontal sections, use the air brush, when hair is dry run the flat iron through. I use the Bed Head flat iron with adjustable temperature (which is great for fine hair), unlike CHI this one has 100% ceramic plates...in the CHI instructions it shows "ceramic coated" plates (how disappointing). Hope this helps!
My wife enjoyes it. 2nd one she's owned

Maybe needing to purchase a second of the same product shows a failure in the product, but it's one that works well with her "fine" hair. Other products from Target (and others) haven't performed as well.
But it looks like we're in the minority here on the product satisfaction side. I guess the lesson is to be careful in your purchase. You can get 3 $20.00 ones from Target (maybe 4) for the price plus shipping....
Bad design

As many other reviewers stated this product will suck you hair into the air intake and burn or worse yet catch fire as mine did. The company I bought it from sent me a new one at no charge but the design flaw is the problem. I am sending the second one back too because I do not have the time to try and dry my hair in 1" sections as someone recommended. I would love this tool if the air intake was a the bottom of the handle like my Revlon dryer. A darn shame!
My hair continuously gets caught in the vent, so as you dry your hair it pulls. Eventually the hair

The vents on the side suck in your hair while drying, so it constantly pulls out your hair. Because of the hair going in the vent after only several uses it burned out the motor.
Not worth the money

I was very displeased with this product. I wound up buying another one at Target for $20, that works far better.
