This flat iron worked better than a Chi on my long, curly hair! I blew dry my hair first and it only took me about 15 minutes to straighten my whole head! Since the plates are so wide I used my Chi to straighten my bangs, but it gets the rest of your hair really straight and fast, and it stays like that for 2-3 days! DEFINITELY recommend it!

I have never worn my hair down at school, seriously.
I always pull it up in a ponytail cause it's so thick and poofy.
I bought this and at first hated it cause I never had pateince to straighten it.
But yuhhhh, it's pretty good?
Sometimes frizzes, but just brush over it and use products for de-frizz and dont forget heat protecters cause it hawttt.

I love this straightener. I never used it when my hair is really curly. I usually use it when my hair has been blown straight, and it is great.

Im one person that very hard to please, but this straight iron did the J O B!! I had one since my senior year and its AMAZING!! my hair is close to NOT manageable...but everyone loves my hair, and its cause this iron....Its true...THIS IS AN AWSOME HOT IRON....the only difference is i got mine here on island for $350.00. I guess the shop ripped me off...but its well worth every penny:)

This straightener was great. It heats up really quickly & straightens my curly thick hair right away. The straighten even holds up in humidity & mist! I highly reccomend it to anyone who wants to get the job done quick and fast. The porcelian plate also made my hair smooth & shiny!

This straightener has ruined my hair. I can tell you honestly that it has burned the ends of my hair so badly that I can not even straighten my hair anymore. The salon refused to blow dry my hair because it is so damaged from this!!! DO NOT BUY THIS

I bought this hair straightener for my daughter for Christmas after reading all of the great reviews. She hasn't even had it a month and it scorched her hair and stopped working. Don't waste the money!

The same thing happened to me as did to one of the other ladies who posted on here. Within 1 year, the heating dock broke - for no reason. When it did work, it worked well... but for $80+ it should last more than a year!

My daughters hair is a mixture of black and korean, thick with tight curls. I usually wash and air dry it and it is a hot mess when its dry.went to the beauty supply to try and use jumbo rollers to roller set it and came in contact with a student beautician from the school next door. After a conversating I asked if she could do my daughers hair. Well was I supprised to see my baby hair look so pretty, shiny, and full of bounce! She started flat ironing it and it was just gliding over her hair like swooooosh,bamm... I was like for reals..it's like that! I asked what did you put in her hair? she said nothing I'm just using this flat Iron that they included in our beauty kit." It was the Babyliss pro. I asked the instructor where can I find it and she anywhere online just type in the name. So here I am today ordering one. My daughter has really band split ends because her hair is so curly I breaks when I come it out after leaving it curly. Her hair needs to be straight to manage and a perm is not even an option. She doesn't need one,teture of hair is good. So for all the people writing the negative reviews on this product, are you sure you know what you are doing? or are you being hateful because you can't do it. I saw the product work and I am amazed at it. As for how long it lasts, if it works that good on her hair for 1 year I count myslf fortunate cause that's one year without fighting with those horrible tangles, and just so you know I'm used to dealing with nappy hair not tangled and and thick. Ooh yeah this morning it was laid flatter today than it was yesterday. S, you know she think she's extra beautiful right now!!!! she's a hot mess.... Thank you babyliss for a wonderful product.

I have naturally wavy hair and this iron certainly got the job done, although I always had little stray hairs standing up on the top of my head, as if there were a static problem. I had to lay on the product pretty thick after to make them stay down. The iron is rather heavy, which I didn't think about when purchasing. I thought the wider plates would make for shorter straightening time. For me, it was actually harder to handle.

i have gone through 3 hair straighteners and now i am looking for my 4th!!
i started with a conair and it did not straighten my hair at all...then i decided to buy this babyliss one for $80 and at first i thought it worked well but then my hair became damaged by it. After exactly one year it would not heat up even when the green light was on and it was plugged in, so i complained to the company and they shipped me a new one and that took about two weeks. About 3 weeks ago my STRAIGHTNER BROKE AGAIN having it for only a year..and the same thing happened just like the last one..and i give up on getting another. They only last for a year!! DONT BUY IT IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. Now i am leaning toward a Sedu ..which will hopefully work and last longer!

Dries out my hair a bit more than my last one, but is definitely one of the better straighteners on the market. Really powerful. Could straighten any type of hair.

I'm a beginner to straightening my hair....this worked pretty well with Dudley's Pressing Creme. It made my 4b/c hair silky straight after I blowdried my hair out.
It heats up really quick too!

I am really content with this product. My hair is straighter. My other hair straighteners were not able to do that. Also I can do my whole head in less than 5 minutes whereas before I had to go over my work again just to get it straighter. one thing I didn't like, the temperature botton is a little small to read when adjusting. I wish it was located at another place on the ironer. But besides that, I highly recommend this product!!

This is a great straightener and the wide plates allow me to straighten my long hair in minutes! It does a great job and my hair is straight and shiny since I got it! To get such great results in such little time is so worth it!
