In order to curl ur hair effectiveley you need to be knowlegable about your hair type and the temperature it can tolerate. High heat for short paeriods of time is less damaging than low heat for long peiods of time
Extremely coarse thick hair should be curled at 400 degrees
Medium textured hairat about 350 and fine/chemically treated hair between 300-325
