Well, I just had my 8th grade dance and decided i wanted to have my hair straightened. I wasn't going to do anything too big, so I told the hair stylist to give me pretty, nice, soft, and straight hair. She described it as china doll hair, which is basically what I wanted. She used the BaByliss Pro, and I was amazed.!!! I was soo happy, and had gotten a myriad of compliments at my dance. It was amazing, and I'm off to buy it this week since I just got my graduation money :]

I love this straightener! It straightens my hair and my daughters hair (which is VERY curly) in less than an hour,where other ceramic straighteners we've owned took me over an hour and a half. It heats up quickly, and the protective velour like covering over the paddles really prevents burns, which with my daughters thick, curly hair, was a common thing. Very happy with my purchase, and well worth the couple extra bucks!

I just got this straightener today so I'll update later how it's been working out...but i put it on about a medium setting(I love how many stetings it has, a lot of choices so you make sure you don't burn your hair) because my hair's pretty much straight just very frizzy and dried out. I used this and it only took me about 5-10 minutes to get my whole head of hair done. It makes it very shiny and straight. I love it so far! But of course I've only used it once and I'm not sure if ceramic is going to chip off or it's going to break or anything. I'll keep yah updated.

i found that all these people are havee a bad experience with this iron, i find it veryy good, but so it doesnt get burnt you have to get a product to put in your hair before you iron it. i use this alberto product before i use my irom and it helps alot

I wrote a decent review about a year ago. Now my flat iron is falling apart at the hinges, the coating is coming off, it doesn't heat like it used to - in fact - one of the elements has completely burned out. All of this, of course, after the warrenty. Luckily, the company I bought it from is being nice and exchanging it. I would not recommend any Babyliss product as they all seem so shabby in construction. My sister has a Chi that she has been using for more than two years and it's still like new. That's the kind of quality I was looking for in Babyliss and absolutely did not get. It is very helpful in reviews if people write about what happened months after they bought it - of course almost all flat irons are great when you first get them - the problem is logevity. Perhaps through our reviews we can get Babyliss to stop producing such short lived junk!

i have has this certain straightener in replacement of another faulty baby bliss straightener and it worked just fine and all of a sudden, one morning i woke up doing my normal routine and straightened my hair as usual. i realized a couple minutes later that i had missed a part of my bangs... so i tried to straighten that part a bit more. well BAD IDEA. i always start at the root,and when i placed it on my hair it sounded as tho i had wet hair.. the next thing i knew it had SINGED ALL MY BANGS OFF. i am outraged at this because now i am completely self conscious of showing my face anywhere because i have stubby hair shorter than a centimeter for bangs. NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY ONE OF THESE AGAIN!!!

I was reading other peoples reviews.. and I really think it depends on peoples hair. I love this straightner. My friend has the skinnier one but since my hair is thicker I wanted the thicker one. My other friend comes over all the time just to use my straightner. Everyone at school tells her that her hair looks shinnier when she uses it. So she will be buying one as soon as she gets her paycheck. But I definitly recommend it. I think you also have to know how to use a straightner too.

I buyed the babyliss staightner about a week ago...i paid 140.00 Canadian(wich is alot for the quality of the straightner)I was SO disapointed when i tried it..my hair smelled burned and my hair got cought inbetween the plates..i tried to bring it back too the store but the technicien/manager said that pealing off was normal(?????] and said there was no refund.My hair got immediatly curly in humidity..my other straightner(that i bought for 90.00)works way better..im very disapointed and DO NOT recomend it to ANYONE ..my CHI (that broke) did miracles compared too this junk

I purchased 2 babyliss irons,one for my daughter and one for me. They were DOGS!!! Both our hair was so damaged from the iron we have had to have it cut several times to restore the hair back to health. The ceramic completely chipped off and you could hear the snagging and popping while frying your hair. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact Babyliss to redeem my warranty. Don't buy it! I am in the market for a better quality one now and out my 130.00 twice over.

Don't buy this. Stop reading right now and focus your hundred bucks on the CHI. I got this garbage and only had to use it once to realize it's made of cheap material and it snags your hair big time. Not to mention, didn't do a great job straightening.
Do not waste your money!!!

I've had this straightening iron for about a month now and the red paint on the plates have already started to chip off. My hair has so much static in it from using this iron. In addition, my hair seems drier and the iron snags my hair and it breaks off. I used to own a Sedu and that iron worked so much better. This iron has damaged my hair and I would not recommend it to anyone.

it isn't worth your money. If it doesn't work on my naturally straight Asian hair, it won't work on yours either. I had to buy a different brand flat iron after tryig to use this for a month. I do not recommend this product to anyone.

I got this iron about 6 months ago i have to say it works great!! The suede started peeling off a little but the read coating is just as good as new! I works awesome and straightens my hair with 5 minutes. Also, unlike my friends $200 iron, it doesn't get your hair drop dead straight. Instead the heat soften your hair so it just naturally falls straight and flows with your face. If u do want your hair super straight you have to go over your hair a couple times though! Overall a great straightner...highly recommended!!

so i bought the straightener 4 months ago. the covering has pretty much totally faded. With every straightening stroke, i can hear a rippppppp. my hair is being snagged between the plates and the straigtener. I do not recommend buying this straightener for the ammount of money that it costs

my aunt got this for me at a salon, i loved it at first.. it worked so well, all my friends would use it when they came over.but, the red plates start to peel and turn black, and it becomes hard to run through your hair, because its no longer smooth on the plates..i had it for about 6 months.. it stopped heating up about a week ago.. so i had to throw it out. im not sure why it stopped heating.

I got this iron a few months ago, n so far it seems to be working great!! I noticed a few scratches on the plate, and the suede covering is starting to disappear bu other than that it works just as good as the day i bought it! It does dry your hair out a lot, and without hair product it doesn't keep your hair perfectly straight, and b/c i didn't use har serum all the time like ur supposed to...my hair is brutally damaged, but thats normal and most hair irons will do that if ur not careful!! So if want it work good n not kill ur hair, use a temp setting that suits ur hair n use hair product to protect ur hair n ill work like a dream! Overall i think its well worth the money b/c ur not gonna find a tourmaline for less than this!

I recieved my iron quick and it works great! The only thing i would change about it is the size... i'd rather it ba a one ince iron. But overall it's a great purchase!
