Slow breakdown...

When I first received the dryer, I was happy with the results and the dryer (considering the price).
As each month went on, the dryer became slower & slower...eventually the motor went out on me. I was afraid of a fire. I have had this dryer for less than 1 year and it already broke. Not worth the money; I should have believed the reviews. If they make a better motor - I will buy it but never again until they use better materials.
cold shot

This dryer is okay for drying, its light, the motor is quite - but having thin, fine curly hair I need the cold shot to set the curl and keep it from frizzing. And this dryer claims to have a cold shot, it is only a luke warm air that comes out of the dryer.
cheaply made

I've had it for less than 6 months and it died. the motor started to make noise and then it burned out. this dryer costs way too much money for its cheap quality.
Great EXCEPT for COOL button ....

I have thin, extremely dry, frizzy hair and this dryer seemed to work well with me. It is much quieter than some of the others that I own and not too heavy while styling. I can come up with only one problem -- the placement of the COOL button is definitely in the WRONG place! The Cool button is situated where your thumb is normally placed while holding a dryer so anticipate COOL air (when you meant to get warm/hot air). You will have to adjust your hand while holding the dryer, which may prove to be an inconvenience for some. With the exception of the COOL button, all works well !

I went through 2 of these also within the past 2 months. The motor starts to break and make a grinding sound
Very impressed!

I too was very skeptical in purchasing this hairdryer...mostly because of the price. I didn't know if I was doing the right thing. I've only used it for two days but I can already see improvement. Since I've blow dried my hair practically all my life (my hair is thick and wavy), I now have a section of hair where it is a bit coarse, dull and unmanageable. Well I've noticed that after using this hairdryer, that section of hair doesn't look as coarse and dull. It certainly seems like I won't be damaging my hair as much and hopefully that section of hair will improve.
Note: I apply Garnier Sleek and Shine Serum before blow drying my hair. This also helps my hair stay moisturized.

I can't believe how well this dryer works. It dries my hair in half the time, and leaves it nice and smooth. Well worth the money!

MY HAIR IS NATURALLY CURLY. I INVESTED IN AN EXPENSIVE HAIRDRYER WITH IONIC, CERAMIC, TOURMALINE, INFRARED... TO GET SMOOTH, SHINEY HAIR, WITHOUT ALL THE DRYING DAMAGE. BUT, UNLIKE ALL THE CLAIMS I READ, MY HAIR STILL GETS FRIZZY FROM USING THIS HAIR DRYER. I HAVE TO USE A FLAT IRON TO MAKE IT SMOOTH AND FRIZZ FREE, WHICH IS DRYING AND RUINING MY HAIR ANYWAY.
fabulous on fine, curly hair

I have fine, curly hair. With high speed hair dryers it becomes fly-away. With low power hair dryers (like the regular orange Chi) the curl refuses to die. The BB Tourmaline is an expensive dryer, but not only did it cut my hair drying time in half, but the high power, low speed option solves all my past drying dillemnas. The power cord is thick and seems to take wear and tear well. I recommend skipping the budget versions, which won't work as well anyway, and investing in the BB.

This hair dryer is all that it claims to be. It truly does give you shinier, smoother hair. I'm not too sure about it cutting down on drying time--I suppose it depends on the dryer you were using in the past. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

I went to my stylist today. She told me my hair feels and looks really healthy and asked what I'm doing differently. I told her I bought a new hair dryer and I am no longer using a curling iron to smooth out my frizz. (My hair has been getting frizzier the older I get.) She was as impressed as I am. Thank you BaByliss!! I love this dryer.
Love it!!

Love this dryer. I orginally bought the T3 but returned it because it wasn't powerful enough to get through all my hair. ( I have mid back, thick, fine hair)The BaByliss does the job well, As another reviewer said the handle is small so it is easy to hold if you have small hands. The dryer is realatively quiet, and lightweight. I think most of the weight comes from the cord, which is really long and very industrial looking. (A bit overkill for home use but I'm sure salon folks will really like it.)Only thing I'm not crazy about is the controls that are in the handle, I have accidently shut it off a few times. This also occured with the T3. It drys very quickly(like 5-7 minutes) and leaves my hair soft and shiney. Folica was great to work with and also had the best price.
awesome product!

This is a GREAT dryer... dries fast (I can sleep later!)... and seems to be good on my doubly processed hair... it's very quiet... you can dry your hair and talk on the phone at the same time! (Almost!)... well worth the $$$

I bought this blow dryer for myself a few months ago. I now realize why I was never able to get my hair to look the way it does when they do it at a salon. It's all in the blow drier. Not your technique. I finally have salon quality blow outs at home.
I just puchased 3 more for each of my daughters as Christmas presents. They all agree...it's amazing. There's not even a need for a flat iron/straightener anymore.
Gives me great hair!!

It is a very potent dryer, lightweight and the carry box is beautiful. Slightly $$$ but worth it specially if you have long, coarse hair like me!!

Ok, this was my 3rd blowdryer in a week at Folica. Thank god for the great return policy. The 3rd time was a charm, this dryer ROCKS. It takes me 12 mins. to do my hair and it used to take about 25. I love this dryer. You can use a brush and do down the shaft of your hair and by the second to third time that section of hair is completely dry. It doens't get so hot that your scalp is burning and it's powerful. It's super lightweight to. I love my Solano but this Babyliss is awesome. It has a 50 month warranty. You can't beat that. It's worth more than it's weight in GOLD!!! I truly love it!
If you're on the fence between this and the T3, go for this one, it's soooooo much faster and better!
Much better than expected...

I bought this hairdryer because I needed a new one and thought I would try the Tourmaline option as I recently got a tourmaline flat iron and loved the results from that - I don't know if it's the tourmaline or the ionic part - but these products make my hair very noticeably smoother and silkier. After I got the flat iron I noticed much silkier hair (and much more manageable and never a flyaway). Then, as my fresh haircut and color got older, it wasn't so soft - well, when I got this hair dryer I had missed my last appt and was about 12 weeks out from my last cut and color and after the 2nd time using it, it was like a fresh cut/color softness! Wow! Yes, it was expensive - but I really do think it was worth it! I also like the fact that it is quieter than other dryers I have had and the hot is really hot and the cool shot works fast. I also got a 'slicker' vent brush and use that too and I think that helps with the silkiness as well...
I got mine at a hair EXPO!

This is the first "pro" type hairdryer I have owned, and I am impressed. My hair felt less dry after the first use, and continues to be softer and silkier. My only complaint is that the temperature and on/off switches are placed in such a way that I accidentally switch them while in use.

This hairdryer is great! I have used Babyliss before and have found it to be a reliable and long lasting product. The only downside is that the cool button does not hold down. You have to keep the finger on it to have cool air blow out. Once you remove your finger you get the hot air again. Other than that, I think its a wonderful hair dryer and recommend anyone who wants to spend a little bit more to invest in this product.
