Look, this hair dryer isn't bad. It has multiple heat settings, and fan speeds, and a cool shot if that's your thing. However, I bought this dryer at Marshall's for $39. Save your money and check out a local Marshall's for this hair dryer. Is it worth $39? Yes. Is it worth $130? No way. I am not opposed to buying high-priced items if they are worth it, like my Sedu iron, but this is a rip-off.
Not worth the money

The dryer broke after 6 months. I only use it once per week. Totally not worth the money.
Melted outlet

I've had this for less than 6 months and it completely melted my outlet- A new grounded circuit. Had to pay an electrician to repair-he said the dryer plug should have shut the dryer down when it over heated and he wouldn't get this brand if its that unsafe.
Only Lasted One Year

I loved this dryer for the last year. It straightened my very curly, coarse hair in record time. Now it's vibrating, making a loud grinding noise, and is VERY hot. I will NOT buy another one to replace it.

Ok, in Dec. 2006 I said how much I loved this dryer well, it's Oct.3, 2007 and the motor blew up. I paid $199.00 before it when on sale. I'm really disappointed but am hoping that they cover it under warranty.

I do not usually write reviews for products. I also do not usually pay this much for a hair dryer. I have only had it about 3 weeks and my hair feels great. I can't stop touching it because it is so soft. I haven't noticed less frizz - but my straightener takes care of that. I love the case and my hair dries in about 15 minutes as opposed to the 40 minutes it took with my last hair dryer.
Love it.

I can't compare it to other similar dryers, but this one does eliminate the frizz in frizzy hair, even in Atlanta
works great for 6 months then breaks!

i thought this was the best hair dryer i ever got.... it worked amazingly well for about 6-9 months. i absolutly loved it.... but, slowly it started to deteriorate, and the motor started to make weird sounds. it was still drying my hair but not as fast. then the back filter grate fell off, drying time slowed more, sounds got worse... eventually one time while i was using it it just SNAPPED! and soemthing inside came loose and rattled around. it scared me because it was very sudden, although I cannot say unexpected. by that time the dryer was so loud and grinding i knew it was ready for the grave. unfortunatly this dryer is way too overpriced for only lasting a few months. dont beleive the hype.. i replaced it with a babyliss carerra 2 and its awesome. so much more substantial and have outstanding reviews! save your money and dont waste it on this one!
Slow breakdown...

When I first received the dryer, I was happy with the results and the dryer (considering the price).
As each month went on, the dryer became slower & slower...eventually the motor went out on me. I was afraid of a fire. I have had this dryer for less than 1 year and it already broke. Not worth the money; I should have believed the reviews. If they make a better motor - I will buy it but never again until they use better materials.
cold shot

This dryer is okay for drying, its light, the motor is quite - but having thin, fine curly hair I need the cold shot to set the curl and keep it from frizzing. And this dryer claims to have a cold shot, it is only a luke warm air that comes out of the dryer.
cheaply made

I've had it for less than 6 months and it died. the motor started to make noise and then it burned out. this dryer costs way too much money for its cheap quality.
Great EXCEPT for COOL button ....

I have thin, extremely dry, frizzy hair and this dryer seemed to work well with me. It is much quieter than some of the others that I own and not too heavy while styling. I can come up with only one problem -- the placement of the COOL button is definitely in the WRONG place! The Cool button is situated where your thumb is normally placed while holding a dryer so anticipate COOL air (when you meant to get warm/hot air). You will have to adjust your hand while holding the dryer, which may prove to be an inconvenience for some. With the exception of the COOL button, all works well !

I went through 2 of these also within the past 2 months. The motor starts to break and make a grinding sound

I too was very skeptical in purchasing this hairdryer...mostly because of the price. I didn't know if I was doing the right thing. I've only used it for two days but I can already see improvement. Since I've blow dried my hair practically all my life (my hair is thick and wavy), I now have a section of hair where it is a bit coarse, dull and unmanageable. Well I've noticed that after using this hairdryer, that section of hair doesn't look as coarse and dull. It certainly seems like I won't be damaging my hair as much and hopefully that section of hair will improve.
Note: I apply Garnier Sleek and Shine Serum before blow drying my hair. This also helps my hair stay moisturized.

I can't believe how well this dryer works. It dries my hair in half the time, and leaves it nice and smooth. Well worth the money!

MY HAIR IS NATURALLY CURLY. I INVESTED IN AN EXPENSIVE HAIRDRYER WITH IONIC, CERAMIC, TOURMALINE, INFRARED... TO GET SMOOTH, SHINEY HAIR, WITHOUT ALL THE DRYING DAMAGE. BUT, UNLIKE ALL THE CLAIMS I READ, MY HAIR STILL GETS FRIZZY FROM USING THIS HAIR DRYER. I HAVE TO USE A FLAT IRON TO MAKE IT SMOOTH AND FRIZZ FREE, WHICH IS DRYING AND RUINING MY HAIR ANYWAY.
fabulous on fine, curly hair

I have fine, curly hair. With high speed hair dryers it becomes fly-away. With low power hair dryers (like the regular orange Chi) the curl refuses to die. The BB Tourmaline is an expensive dryer, but not only did it cut my hair drying time in half, but the high power, low speed option solves all my past drying dillemnas. The power cord is thick and seems to take wear and tear well. I recommend skipping the budget versions, which won't work as well anyway, and investing in the BB.

This hair dryer is all that it claims to be. It truly does give you shinier, smoother hair. I'm not too sure about it cutting down on drying time--I suppose it depends on the dryer you were using in the past. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

I went to my stylist today. She told me my hair feels and looks really healthy and asked what I'm doing differently. I told her I bought a new hair dryer and I am no longer using a curling iron to smooth out my frizz. (My hair has been getting frizzier the older I get.) She was as impressed as I am. Thank you BaByliss!! I love this dryer.

Love this dryer. I orginally bought the T3 but returned it because it wasn't powerful enough to get through all my hair. ( I have mid back, thick, fine hair)The BaByliss does the job well, As another reviewer said the handle is small so it is easy to hold if you have small hands. The dryer is realatively quiet, and lightweight. I think most of the weight comes from the cord, which is really long and very industrial looking. (A bit overkill for home use but I'm sure salon folks will really like it.)Only thing I'm not crazy about is the controls that are in the handle, I have accidently shut it off a few times. This also occured with the T3. It drys very quickly(like 5-7 minutes) and leaves my hair soft and shiney. Folica was great to work with and also had the best price.
