Product Rating: 3 Just OK
Reviewer: Kim W from California  Mon Jun 08 2009

For $150+ I feel like this straighter wasnt all it was cracked up to be! I have asian hair... its thick and just has a wave to it. So i thought it would be no problem for this straightener! It doesnt look soft and relaxed after, it kinda looks just rigid and straight! Im actually sad that you cant pinch the end of it either.. it gets to hot! Cant touch it without burning myself.

Product Rating: 3 Not Happy with the Plates
Reviewer: Cara from Jasper, TX  Thu May 07 2009

I was so excited to buy this flat iron. However, I was immediately disappointed with it. First of all, the plates only touch at the tip of the iron. You have to squeeze the iron just to be able to do thinner parts of the hair. I know most flat irons have a small space between the plates, however, this is a significant space. It also pulls your hair out. I have ready many reviews that said it didn't do this, but it sure did pull out mine and my daughter's hair. I had it for 1 week, and noticed the blue paint coming off at the end. One good thing that I can say about it is that it does keep your hair straight the whole day. (If you can get pass the pulling!) I am happy with Folica's service except that when I returned the iron, they kept $20 out of my refund. When I purchased the iron, they were running a $20 off sale on your entire order. I ordered the iron, plus a flat iron stand from Amika which was $17.99. I felt like it would have been fair for them to only take half out of my refund since I ordered two products. With that being said, I would still order from Folica again. They are a great company to purchase your hair products from! I highly recommend Folica!

Product Rating: 3 not bad
Reviewer: DoomKitty from Toronto, Ontario  Mon May 04 2009

This product had good points and bad points. It got really hot, which is great! The hotter the better for most people's hair, and the adjustable settings to do my bangs on a lower setting was great too. It was also really lightweight which made it nice to hold. But the extra long plates made it awkward not easier to straighten, also I find it didn't have a nice good clamp to press the hair and really flatten it out as much as it potentially could the first swipe around. It did make my hair shine after a couple or tries though. So its not bad, but I really need a straightener that clamps down nicely.

This flat iron is cheaply made and is not a professional iron at all.I brought ti to compare it to the CHI but the CHI is so much better.

Product Rating: 4 Great iron.... But....
Reviewer: Yolanda from New York  Wed Apr 29 2009

I have Long THICK hair and this iron gets the job done in about 15 minutes! the extra long plates do help =) I set my iron at 35 and thats hot enough for me anything higher i think will fry my hair. The Only bad thing i have to say about this iron is that the paint is chipping off ( i've had this for about three weeks) the iron does get really really hot on the outside (ouchhh) and it snags my hair (double ouchh).

Product Rating: 3 There are better options
Reviewer: Honey from FL  Mon Apr 13 2009

I bought this as a temporary replacement until I got my new CHI and it worked ok. It is good that you can choose between the different heat settings but the whole iron can get pretty hot depending on how long you need to use it. Also with the heat only at 350 my hair would get to hot to touch after running the iron through it once. I have always used CHI's and the iron never got to hot and neither did my hair. I found that my hair got really damaged from this iron. This iron works just fine but I still rather the CHI.

Product Rating: 5 LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
Reviewer: Gwenivere from Ga  Mon Apr 06 2009

This is the first flat iron I've ever owned. I got mine about a month ago and I absolutely love it! I look forward to fixing my hair now. My hair is straight, but gets kinda frizzy sometimes. I haven't had any problems with frizziness since I started using this product. I love the way my hair looks and feels now! It makes my hair so soft! I highly recommend this product! This is a great price, I paid $140 for my 1" iron(not from Folica). However I recently ordered some products from Folica, I placed the order on Tuesday and I received the shipment on Saturday, and that is with the free shipping, so I was pleased with that.

Product Rating: 5 Babyliss Flat iron - great!
Reviewer: Suzyq221   Sun Mar 22 2009

I ordered this flat iron late Wed. evening, I paid for 2 day shipping and received it Sat. A.M. I didn't experience slow shipping at all. The iron itself is great. It has multiple heat settings up to 50 and straightens easily. As others said, start on a lower setting and go up if need be. It did not burn my hair at all, I started on 20 and eventually went up to 35. I have very wavy hair that has a tendency to frizz, and this iron gets it straight and silky. Love it!

Product Rating: 4 Very good.

This is pretty good, it straightens well and everything. The only complaint I have is the silver on the plates is pealing off when I just barely got it two weeks ago.

I've been through a million flat irons. From GHD, Chi, Sedu, Hot Tools, etc. and BaByliss is honestly the best flat iron I've EVER had!!! I have skimmed through it on this site but it never really stuck out to me. One of my good friends owns one and so I decided to give it a shot... instantly fell in love! I've always had problems with keeping my hair straight after a night out or dancing but with this flat iron it never seems to fail me. I have long semi thick hair and was always stuck in a bathroom for 30-45 minutes straightening it but now it's 15-20 minutes tops. I seriously recommend this iron and would also recommend trying "Pureology Antifade Complex SuperStraight Relaxing Serum" with it.

This is THE best flat iron I've ever worked with. The temp goes real high. Great for super curly or latino hair. Yo need to turn the temp down for fine hair.
But it does the job better than any flat iron out there.

Product Rating: 5 The 4 year warranty speaks for itself.
Reviewer: shelby from Canada  Thu Mar 12 2009

My relationship with this straightener has been the longest lasting of them all. Mine lasted almost 5 years and worked great the whole time. Doesn't the 4 year warranty speak for itself. The manufacterer is confident of its product.

Product Rating: 5 I have tried everything from Solia, HAI, to Chi Irons
Reviewer: Leila from Washington, DC  Wed Mar 04 2009

I am mixed with african american and pacific islander; therefore, I have extremely curly and coarse hair. I have been doing my own hair for six years and have gotten pretty good at it. Of all the flat irons I use, this has by far been the best. Not only is my hair super straight and still bouncy, but I get it done within 30 minutes when it used to take me at least an hour with the above-mentioned flat irons. For those below who stated that it fried their hair, they clearly were using it on a setting that was inappropriate for the fineness of their hair. As stated, I have coarse, curly, natural hair. I use it on the 45 setting (the max is 50) and I have not received a trim since January, and my ends still look great! As a matter of fact, I received a compliment from the First Lady's hair stylist this past week on how great my hair looked! I also recommend the BabyBliss curling iron, just be careful because the tip of the curling iron gets pretty hot.

Product Rating: 5 Unbelievable! Luvluvluv it!!
Reviewer: Sylvie from Canada  Thu Feb 26 2009

You're going to love this straightener, I promise! I actually look forward to doing my hair now and I even wish it were longer so I could spend more time. I used to own a ceramic hair straightener but this is by far the best! Check out it's unique features, they're for real! Two things you should own: A little black dress and a BabyLiss Nano Titanium Hair Straightener. Dont' look anywhere else, trust me! Advice before using it; read the instructions and don't leave it on your hair too long. Slide it down gradually. It gets really hot and if you don't use the proper temperature setting it will burn your hair. I have thick curly hair and I find the setting 30 works best for me. Hint: Test it on a strand underneath your hair first to see what setting works best for you and enjoy! I'm loving mine!!

Product Rating: 4 Good with minor problems

Great straightener but, unfortunately the iron gets really hot on the outside and it will burn your hand so be careful. The paint also chips off or at least it did on mine.

Product Rating: 5 this is a great flat iron
Reviewer: meg from ny  Wed Jan 28 2009

This is a fabulous flat iron, I used to use the paul brown hawaii and chi irons but this is so much better. It makes my hair look great so quick and I have extremely thick hair. For the people who said their hair became fried that is because you turned the temp. up to high. Some flat irons say they go up to 400 and they may get close but this flat iron goes up and sometimes above 400. This is why your hair gets fried, duh, turn the temp down and dont burn your hair. It will still work great!

Product Rating: 5 The best flat iron PERIOD!!!!

Reviewer: J from Mt. Laurel NJ  Thu Jan 15 2009

I do the Keratin Treatments on almost all of my clients and i tell you no other flat iron gets this hot and STAYS that hor for the entire service. And yes it get to 450 degrees which means if your using it it does not have to be used only at 450 degrees and u should always use a heat protector anyways. Then your ends will not get fried off.
