I bought this hair dryer because of the reviews,it 2000 watts and the price.I have naturally curly, thick and frizzy hair.I excpected that this dryer would illuminate the frizzes and straighten my hair but it didn't.It dries the hair fast but it has no shape and frizzes are everywhere.I wouldn't recommend it at all.I returned it and bought babyliss thermal ionic and it does wonders.Hopefully somebody will benefit from this review.

I Have to agree with Allison from Portland, Ore. dated Fri Sep 15 2006.I bought this dryer because of the reviews I read and the price.I thought I'm getting an excellent deal but I was very disappointed. The dryer is not hot enough to staighten my curly, thick and frizzy hair.Yes,it dries the hair a bit faster and leaves my hair a bit softer but it has no shape, lots of frizzes as if it was fried and I litrary had to go over my hair several times with no vain..so really it is not saving time.I gave it a try for a month but returned it beacuse it was a waste of money.I live in Canada so I paid for shipping both ways..which was a lot..that's frustrating.I ordered babyliss thermal ionic which is 20 dollars more but it does wonders to my hair.My hair is shiny, silky with almost no frizzes..I can't be more happy.I would highly recommend it.I hope my review would help somebody to make the right decision and not waste her money on this dryer.
Fast, Quiet, and Very Effective

I *love* this hair dryer. I have a ton of really thick hair, and this hair dryer can get it bone dry within ten minutes. In the past I've had to blow-dry for 20 minutes and wait around for an hour or more before it got really dry. What really got me was how quiet it is-- I can even hear the t.v. The hair flow is powerful but doesn't get too hot so it doesn't fry my hair or dry out my scalp. In any case, because it dries so fast it really can't do that much damage. It actually feels like it's conditioning my hair because it leaves it feeling so soft. Plus, I couldn't get over the price. I'm *so* glad I found Folica--I was so desperate I was prepared to pay a lot more.
As for downsides, it's a bit on the heavy side, but it's not really a problem since you don't have to hold it for too long. The temperature and power controls are flush with the handle, which can make them a little difficult to slide if your hands are slippery with product, but once I realized that I just make sure to thoroughly wash and dry my hands first. Could also be a good thing, though, since the controls won't shift on you by mistake which seems to be a problem with other hair dryers.
I *highly* recommend this hair dryer. And my undying appreciation again to Folica for making researching and purchasing so easy and fast.
Needs more heat and less blow

I purchased this hair dryer after reading the great reviews on here and another site and, so far, I'm very disappointed.
First,it is very powerful. It blows very hard, but not very hot. It dried the under parts of my hair very well, but when I took my round brush to dry the short layers near my face, it would not blow hot enough to set a slight curl. When I finish drying, my hair is very flat and limp. It has no volume or bounce whatsoever.
I know with the increased power, the drying time for this dryer should have decreased, but it didn't because I keep having to go over sections of hair with my round brush, trying to form a slight curl and volume.
With regard to weight -- the dryer is very heavy, but if you are used to having to hold a hair dryer for long periods of time, it probably won't bother you.
If you are using this dryer just to get your hair dry, then I could recommend it. Especially if you plan on going over it with a flat iron afterwards, anyway. But, if you plan on doing some actual styling with the dryer, this is not the one for you.

WOW!! I never knew a hair dryer could make such a difference. I was originally going to purchase one of the more expensive hair dryers but after reading the reviews on this one and liking this price better, I decided to try it. I figured if I didn't like it, I could return it and get one of the pricier ones. Boy, am I glad I did!! I have very thick, coarse, wavy hair and with this hair dryer and the Phillips Monster Vent brush that I purchased along with it, my hair dries so fast and comes out so smooth and shiny, I almost don't need to use my Sedu straightener (which I also purchased from Folica). To be honest, I never really noticed the weight of the dryer and it is so quiet compared to my old dryer. I love the rubber housing ... I can put it on my countertop without having to worry about it sliding off. If I run out of time, I can leave the house without using my straightener, but I like to use it because it gives my hair the added smoothness and shine that it needs. Ladies, if you are thinking about purchasing one of the more expensive hair dryers like I was, I recommend you try this one first ... you won't be disappointed!! Thank you Folica ... your products help make me feel beautiful every day.
It works great!

I just cut my hair so I don't have as much hair to blow dry, but I noticed, that with the use of the wonderful curling iron I bought, my hair does not get frizzy by the end of the day. Overall, I would give this an above average rating. The switches were not that big of a problem for me.
It's about the same weight of my old Conair.

It's heavy but it's fast and powerful. I have very long thick hair and it has cut my drying time by a lot. Within this price range I would recomend it.

I had to return this the next day it was way way way way too heavy and didn't do that great of a job! Folica took forever to give me my money back and i have to pay for my own shipping to ship it back to them! It was a waste of money and time, I don't recommend this unless you are a weight lifter.. Seriously, I don't like purchasing through online because you lose money in shipping and having to wait for them to refund your money! I lost a lot of money paying for shipping to and from them. I recommend the T3

It was an awful blowdryer. I have very long hair and curly. After I read the reviews I thought that this would be a great purchase but I was very disappointed. First, it was too heavy and it had an uncomfortable grip. Second, I felt like it was a blow storm trying to dry my hair! It was a whirl wind, my hair got all tangled up, it dried my hair in 5 minutes but it made my hair crispy like it was toasted...that's how hot the air was. I returned it right away, I would never recommend this product to anyone.

This $40 hair dryer is a very good value. It dries my long thick hair very quickly. It's a little heavier, but the weight is well balanced and unnoticeable after a few uses. It's relatively quiet and the stream of air is powerful and concentrated. I would toss those $25 things you buy from drug stores and invest in this one!
I have told everyone in my family to buy one

I have very very thick wavy hair that takes forever to dry. This cuts my drying time by more than half, and my hair looks almost as great as when I get it blown out at the salon. Almost is only due to my inability to get the back as well as my hairdresser.
I was not sure if it was worth spending the $$ on a good dryer, but now I would recomend all my friends do. This one is a little heavy, but it doesn't bother me because I am not drying hair all day, just my own every other day.

I ordered this hairdryer in May. I'm never using a drugstore-brand hairdryer ever again. I don't find the dryer heavy at all. It has cut my drying time from 40-45minutes to 30minutes. And it leaves my hair free of frizziness and flyaways. I only have to do a wrap once (same day I dry it) and it will stay the same. Before I had to do a wrap everyday, and I still had to use my old dryer anyways. I don't even use my Sedu flat iron as much anymore, just once in a blue, down from almost everyday. It's that good.
way way too heavy!!!

After reading all the good reviews for this dryer I went and bought one. I got to tell you I am better off with my 8 year old super salano my dad had in the closet. I tried the SALANO out while I was waiting for my BaByliss and I loved it!! The only thing that made me want another dryer was the fact that I wanted a dryer that was ceramic so it wouldn't damage my hair as much. I finally got my BaByliss and I took a quick shower and started using the dryer. Well it is really High setting and it blew too hard, i was having a hard time keeping it from tangling my hair! It also didn't DRY as quickly as the SALANO. It was really hard to control it, it weighed way too much for me! My arms couldn't bear it, about half way through my dry I had to STOP! it was soo painful to lift that thing, so I switched and used my SALANO. (even though it says that this salano weighs 3lbs and the BaByliss weighs 2lbs, its NOT TRUE, the BaByliss weighs MUCH MORE! I don't recommend this, pay the extra money for a better one!
