Best dryer ever...

I have curly hair and of course I want straight hair. Well, let me tell you this dryer is the best ever... I can't believe I've lived so long without this. Now, I have straight hair. If you want to look like you stepped out of a salon everyday then this dryer is for you!!!
Great results, but ergonomically questionable

I must say I love this dryer and what it does for my hair. I have fine, straight, color-treated hair, but mounds of it. If not dried, my hair can develop this weird kink, and it's so porous it takes forever to dry. Tired of purchasing cheap drugstore dryers every few years when they burned out, I finally spent for this one, and I must say the results are noticeable. My hair is smooth (but not flat) and glossy. I don't get that crispy look I was getting from my drugstore ionic dryer. In any kind of weather, my hair is shiny and holds a style well. The dryer blows with lots of force, moreso than average, but not so much that it's like gale-force winds tossing your hair into tangles. It doesn't get extremely hot, which is fine, but it dries very quickly regardless. My main beef with it (and this is serious enough that I considered returning it) is that the switches are designed such that they're easily nudged while your hand is holding the dryer. Instead of moving up and down, as with most dryers, they move sideways, so it's very easy to change temperatures --or worse, turn the dryer OFF-- while using it. Maybe I will get used to holding it after a few more weeks of use, but the results are so nice that I can't bring myself to return it, even if this is seriously annoying. I love love love the rubberized metallic red finish.
What a difference!

I have always purchased fairly inexpensive hair dryers. This was the first time I splurged a bit -- it is totally worth it! My hair dries so much faster and it is so much silker (less frizzy). Worth the investment (my daughter had the same reaction!).
Love it!

This is a great dryer! Lots of power but not too loud. Significantly lighter and quieter than the SuperSolano which is what I had before. Don't get me wrong, loved the Solano until it went out (after 3 years) but I definitely like this one better. I read all the reviews on the other Babyliss and had a hard time deciding but am super pleased with this dryer.

This dryer performs fine but it is very heavy which I guess I didn't pay attention to. Also, the settings are on the handle where my thumb goes and I'm constantly turning it off. It wasn't inexpensive so I'm going to stick with it for a while but I would not buy another one like it.

Not as good as the black carrera

Although I love the color, I was a little disappointed in the performance. I bought this to replace my black BaByliss Carrera because the heating element blew. The red one does not generate as much heat as the black one.
Good dryer

Dryer is a little heavy the first time you pick it up, but very quick to get used to it. Also power and setting buttons can be hit by mistake, but they too are easy to get used to. Using dryer gets great results and can skip using flat iron if I want.

After reading all the positive reviews, I was excited about buying this hairdryer. Unfortunately, after using it for a week, I'm not happy with what it's done to my hair. Aside from overdrying it, it takes longer overall to dry than my previous hairdryer and I still need to use a flat iron to get rid of the flyaways. I'll be returning it in hopes of finding another hairdryer like my previous one.
Nice hair dryer!

I thought it was a good purchase. It is a little heavier than my previous dryers, but my hair is less frizzy and looks shinier than before. When I first opened it from the package, I heard some jingling in the dryer and a little piece fell out. I guess it wasn't important because it has been working fine.
I love it.

I'm very pleased with my new BaByliss dryer. The buttons do switch pretty easily, but it is just as easy to flick them back where you want them. The dryer is very comfortable to hold and looks nice too!

I use this blow dryer all of the time. It dries my hair in less than 30 minutes when it used to take 90 minutes. The heat settings really are HOT but you would never feel it when you touch the barrel. Oh and the red color is stuning, it feels velvetie and smooth....Like no other Blow Dryer I have ever seen!!!!
Great dryer

This is my first pro dryer, and I am really liking it so far. My hair feels much softer and healthier after only a few of weeks of using it. I read in other reviews that it is very heavy. I suppose at first it was noticibly heavier than my last dryer, a hot tools ion, but I got used to it. My hair is fine, layered, and not super long, so it doesn't take very long to dry, anyway, but I do think it dries a little faster with this one. And, it doesn't get so hot that it fries my hair. If I'm drying for a while and it starts to get hot, I just switch it to warm. I also read that the buttons are in an inconvenient location. On occasion the settings have switched accidentally, but it's not a big deal, I just switch them back. In my opinion, this one is well worth the price. I can't imagine that a more expensive dryer would be much better.

I wish I had purchased this dryer before I had my hair cut off. It's marvelous. The only bad thing I have to say is the buttons are in a bad location and I'm constantly switching settings or turning it off. I'm currently practicing holding it differently to overcome this.
I love the Babyliss Pro Carrera 2 dryer!!!

I was really pleased with this hair dryer. I have wavy hair, and with with this dryer and the right brush, I am able to get such a perfect blowout that there is no need to whip out the flat iron. This dryer also dries my hair quickly. My old dryer fried my hair and I could never get a smooth/sleek blow out. But this hairdryer does the trick and saves me time with both the amount of time it takes to dry my hair and by eliminating the need for further styling from a flat iron or a curling iron. It is a bit large, but it is great and definately worth the money.

I have naturally curly hair; it does straighten my hair well, but by the end of the day, I find that my hair is oily, and this was not the case prior to using this hairdryer. If I would have know this, I wouldn't have bought the dryer.
