Product Rating: 3 Nappy Hair Beware. (Volume Dryer)
Reviewer: t. richard from Washington State  Wed Sep 19 2007

This is a pretty good dryer, it just doesnt have enough guts to dry my nappy hair to the root quickly without frizzing it out. I could see how it would be good for someone looking for volume, but I need to tame this mess, not puff it up. It is gentle, so I dont feel like im over drying or damaging my hair, so that's a plus, and it's super light weight, which i love, its just not the dream dryer I was hoping for.

This hairdryer is excellent! For only $80 (as compared to the average price of $100 - $250+ for a decent hairdryer), this appliance works wonders. WIth my old Revlon blowdryer from CVS, my hair took 1+ hour to blow dry. WIth this, I've gotten it down to 35 minutes! Of course, I would love to try one of the super-expensive hair dryers, but for the money this hairdryer is awesome! I no longer need to straighten my hair - blow drying is quicker, easier, better looking, and much better for my hair. I still get split ends, but not half as bad as when I flat ironed every other day! I go to Safaar on Newbury Street in Boston to get my hair done, and I can honestly say that after a few weeks of getting used to blowdrying, my hair looks almost as good as when I go to the salon! I also love the four different heat settings on the dryer (cold, cool, warm hot) and the three speed settings. The buttons are in a somewhat awkward place but I had no trouble after the first day. The dryer is very quiet - I blow dry at 10:30 and no one asleep can hear it. I highly recommend this hairdryer!

i had been using a vidal sasson ionic dryer, which i was satisfied with for the most part. however i can definitely tell the difference in quality between the two. this dryer is very quiet, light weight, and works much quicker than the former. it is also really cute(not like that really matters haha), the color is great and the design is comfortable to handle. i absolutely love it. i also like all of the different settings: you can combine, cool, warm, and hot with low, medium, and high. also there is a cold button which works far better than any dryer i have previously used. after drying on a warmer setting, this locks in the volume or sets the curl. i highly recamend this product to anyone seeking a dryer that is of higher quality.

I really liked this dryer the first year, now a loud noise comes out and its starting to wear on me

Product Rating: 1 Bad: Returning after 3 months of use!
Reviewer: Norma from New York  Sat Nov 22 2008

It started out good, but quickly went downhill: the drying time almost doubled (from 30 minutes to 1 hour) because it no longer heated up as much as it did after I first purchased it, the motor became extremely loud (to the point where I thought it was going to explode), the nozzle flies off and the removable filter cap broke off! ( Don't waste your money on this one...I'm going back to my excellent Supersolano!

I bought this dryer and have been extremely happy with the results. My hair always comes out as if I just came out of the salon. Great buy!

I've heard a lot of comments that these ceramic dryers leave straight, fine hair limp and without body, but this was just not the case. My hair's never been fuller and the style generally lasts a day longer than with my old conventional dryer. Drying does seem to take a couple minutes longer than before though. But, it's lightweight and pretty easy to manipulate.

Product Rating: 5 Excellent Blow Dryer

I had been using the Babyliss Pro Ceramix Xtreme for over 3 years and it finally died. Bought this one. Just as good, maybe a bit better. It does dry my hair much faster. Same smooth results. I have learned that if you are prone to frizziness there is no dryer that will completely eliminate that problem. That's all about the product. However, starting with a good hair dryer is half the battle. This is a great one. I swear by Babyliss. They say the dryer will last and it does. This one is warranteed for 5 years, about 1200 hours. Also, Folica is awesome to do business with, by the way.

I have used a Solano and an Elchim in the past and have been very happy with both of them for many years. I read the reviews on this blow dryer and it was also recommended to me by customer service after giving them a description of my hair and its texture. I have never been unhappier with a blow dryer. My hair comes out frizzy everytime. I tried using the medium temperature setting thinking the hi was too hot but I still got the same results. Since the beginning the nozzle has been loose and constantly falls off and then it is too hot to touch to put it back on. I am now back in the market for a new blow dryer. I always have a spare just in case my good blow dryer breaks. I have an inexpensive Conair which works 100 times better than the
Babyliss.

Product Rating: 5 A Terrific Hairdryer!
Reviewer: Sarju from Georgia  Fri Mar 28 2008

I first bought the BabylissPro Carrera 2 Ceramic Ionic Hair Dryer and had to return it because it was too heavy to hold and use. In exchange, I got the BaByliss PRO TT (Carrera 2) Tourmaline 3000 Dryer. This hairdryer is much lighter! It's powerful and dries my thick hair, quickly. I noticed that my hair is also much smoother! I highly recommend the Babyliss Pro TT 3000 for its quality, efficiency, and performance.

Product Rating: 5 I love it.
Reviewer: Esther from San Diego, CA  Tue Feb 19 2008

So far I love it. This is the first non-drug store blow dryer I have used and I must say I am impressed. It dries my curly/wavy hair in less than half the time and it isn't nearly as frizzy. Before I always had to smooth my hair out with a flat iron, with the blow dryer I can get away with not straightening it too. My only complaint it that it didn't come with a diffuser as well as the concentrator nozzle.

Product Rating: 5 Excellent Dryer
Reviewer: Susan from Montreal, Canada  Mon Feb 18 2008

I had been using a $200 elchim professional dryer for several years and purchased this as a replacement. This has been the best dryer I have ever used. It gives my frizzy, curly hair, a better than salon blowdry. Not only does it give great shine and silkiness but even in humid weather my hair stays straight and sleek. Last week I dropped it on the bathroom floor and it now makes a weird loud noise so I decided to try something different as this model is not available here in Montreal. I bought the Ted Gibson Professional Tourmaline at $275 but I will return it because it gave a very poor result (less shine, some frizz and many flyaways). I went online to see if I could find the same brand/model as my Bablyliss Pro TT Carerra 2 Tourmaline 3000 and found it here. I will replace it with the same model as soon as I return to the U.S..

i have the worst luck buying things like this. i always end up feeling like it was a waste of money and i probably could've spent less and got the same results. i love my hair dryer. i had read some reviews saying that the switches are in a bad location. I do occasionally switch it off, so what. it's light. the temperature settings are what makes the difference. my hair is dry and shiny in a third of the time.

Product Rating: 1 Broke after six months
Reviewer: Krista from Columbus, Ohio  Wed Jan 09 2008

When I first received this hair dryer, it worked well, drying my hair quickly. Over the past six months, the drying time has slowly increased (12 - 32 minutes) because the dryer was no longer getting warm (stopped getting hot after about four months). At this point, the dryer has absolutely no heat. This is way too much money to spend for a dryer that lasts less six months.

Product Rating: 5 Dries fast and smooth, love the cool shot
Reviewer: b-school girl from minneapolis, mn  Sat Jan 05 2008

This is the first professional hair dryer I have used, and the first ionic dryer too. I have very curly blond hair. The dryer dries all my hair on the warm-hi setting in about 10 minutes. I finish it off with the cool shot so I can run my fingers through and see if the hair is dry enough. My hair doesn't frizz and it smoothes out the curl really well when I use a round brush to blow it out. I can't compare it to any other hair dryer because its the only professional ionic one I've used. But I have no complaints. I can't imagine anything better. For me, it was worth every penny.
