I just tried this product and my hair is looking better already. My hair was falling out alot before and now it doesn't fall as much. I'm so happy. I love this product

I was a hairdresser for many years and knew of this product , I always suggested it to clients who I felt could benefit from it but never thought that I would need to use it myself. I am a casino host and was doing a photo shoot for a billboard, of course they wanted long blonde hair, I had short brown hair, so I went to the beauty salon got my hair bleached. The bleach was left on way too long and my hair turned mushy, keep in mind the photo shoot was the very next day. I got extentions put on and did the photo shoot then immediately took the extentions off myself. you can only imagine the condition my hair ( if thats what you could call it) was in. It felt and looked like straw. was sooo uneven from all the breakage some of the breakage was so bad it was almost to my scalp. I started using this product, by the 3rd treatment my hair stopped breaking and is not starting to look better than it did before all the chaos started.

I didn't know anything about Aphogee before yesterday. My hair has been shedding, more like falling out, for the last 3 or 4 weeks. So I finally went to the beauty salon yesterday & my beautican pulled out a bottle of Aphogee. She said it would smell horrible but I didn't smell anything.
But don't get me wrong, it is extremly runny and sticky. I mean it's suppose to be nothing but eggs and protein so amagine how runny it would be if you broke eggs in your hair.
After she put me under the dryer for 45 minutes, rinsed, applied conditioner, put me under the dry for 10 more minutes, and rinsed again. I was done.
The final product was amazing. My hair didn't shed at all while she was styling it. I styled it this morning and my comb didn't have any hair left on it.
The only down fall to this product is the tangles it leaves in your hair. When you get under the dryer with this in your hair it gets extremely hard and leaves your hair tangled after you rinse. If you don't have the best type of hair and know that your hair gets tangled easily applying it after a perm is the best time. If your hair never tangles you don't have to worry about this. Unfortunitly my hair tangles and it took her an hour to get my hair untangled.

I used to have really long hair when I was a child. But the older I got and the more I started taking care of it myself, it broke off really bad. The worse was when I went off to college. I didn't really know what I was doing and I didn't take care of my hair. It broke off horribly. But now that I'm in graduate school, I spent a lot of time reading up on how to take care of relaxed African American hair. I came across this product, used it, and I've never looked back.
My breakage has stopped. My hair is like a whole new head of hair. I haven't had a trim for about five months and you couldn't tell, because I haven't been losing that much hair. After one treatment, my breakage stopped.
It's a real pain to apply, it smells and it's sticky, but there is NOTHING better for stopping damage on relaxed African American hair. Please go get this product. And use it correctly.
I condition before because my hair sometimes feel brittle after shampooing. And after I use the product I let the conditioner sit on my hair with a heat cap for about an hour. I don't blow dry my hair, but I do flat iron it. And it doesn't damage my hair because I pamper it in all other areas.
Please go get the product. Use it CORRECTLY and it will be one of the best things you could've done to keep your strands.

I haven't seen my natural hair color in 10 years. So of course my hair is always fried! This stuff is a miracle in a bottle!!! I have already told several people who inquire about my hair (fire engine red) how to take care of it by using this product. It's just awesome.

This is a very great product to be serious. I love this product. I am an African American and I have been wearing my nappy hair since April 3, 2005. I've recently had a baby in early January 2007, and in Mid-March, my hair started shedding from giving birth. I don't think during pregnancy my hair had changed, I have very thin like type 3C/4A type of hair, my first time I used this treatment was in November 2006, it worked nicely. I couldn't keep up with it, because the day after Thanksgiving I got Micros and kept those up until three weeks after I had my son. I wish I would've kept up with the treatments, because my hair looked beautiful after I flat-ironed it, but all that heat started giving me mad split ends. So now I just did another treatment, and although it says use every six weeks, every four weeks I will use it, because I have Caramel thin slices in my hair. I wash my hair every three days so I use a quick keratin conditioner after every wash. I don't use the entire product line, I use Folicure shampoo, because I need volume in my hair, but I don't intend to straighten my hair for a long time, I rarely straighten it, for the simple fact I'm trying to retain lenght. ApHogee treatment and Moisture Balance conditioner sure enough does the job, and my hair shedding has stopped and my naps feels very silky, no more handfuls of hair are coming out anymore. I am a hair stylist and it's sad that out here in Washington I don't see anyone using this hair line, nor in Cosmetology school do we learn about this great reconstructor. Whenever I start styling hair professionally, renting my booth, this is the product line I plan to use and Folicure, because they help a lot with the problems I think African Americans face especially since our hair is naturally dry by nature. Overall, this is the best rating I could give this product, because it's the best reconstructor on EARTH!

If oyu don;t have this in your hair care line up then you are missing out. It is not the easiest product to use but it is worth al the effort. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! I have always had problems with my hair and relaxing it. It would break and my ends would be all funky. Trust me when I say.... get this use it for about 3 month and you will never be with out it. Every peeny I spend on this stuff is not wasted. My sister would not use it at first becasue she was all "It get hard ( hard as a rock) when you blow dry it!" She all into it now that she see's my hari is healthier thatn it has ever been. I wish I could find the person who came up with this and say "THANK YOU FOR THE BEAUTIF&UL HAIR!"

This product is an awesome treatment for damaged hair it works and thats what counts. It's NOT a quickie product that u can just spray on damp hair and go, or one that you can shave while taking a shower and you leave it in your hair for 3 mins and then just rinse out so keep this in mind. If you are a person who is always pressed for time (as I am) this product is MORE than worth the one day every couple weeks of the extra time it takes to use this according to the instructions. You will not be sorry you spent the extra time either after the first use you'll be hooked!!!

I read very good reviews of this product, and expected to obtain dramatic results for my breaking relaxed hair with the first application. While my hair was noticeably thicker after treatment, the product did little to control breakage. It may be that results will be achieved with continued use, and given the price, I may be willing to try it again.

I have, over the past 2 months, seriously damaged my hair. I bleached the under portion of my hair and dyed it magenta....then blood red. It was mad hot! Unfortunately, I was tired of the upkeep and mess. I just slapped some dark brown dye on it and not realizing how porous my hair was, it ended up pretty much black-which is horrendous if you're hair's in bad shape. I thought I was going to have to cut off 5 inches to get it back into presentable shape (not to mention the lecture from my stylist). This was my last hope. It's a pretty nasty application but OMG....the results almost had me crying - my hair is absolutely beautiful again. I will use this religiously once a month from here on out. I use the shampoo and moisturizer as well. The moisturizer doesn't have the slip most others have but I love the results so I'm not changing anything!

this is an awesome product it is worth every penny and then some for a while now my hair has been shedding uncontrolaby it would get all over the keyboard I just did a treatment about an hour ago and there's no hair on the keyboard I have also ran my hands through my hair and no breakage whatsoever this product is simply amazing I cant wait to see the results within a year

I guess maybe I had unrealistic expectations. I have long hair to the middle of my back very thick and curly. Somewhat damaged because, I stopped putting oil in my hair for the last 6 months so, now it is extremly dry and, breaking. Tried this product expecting miracles alfter reading all the reviews. It was very messy but, it was my first time so, I think with some experience I will be able to do this with less mess. The end result is that I have a few broken hairs Not as much as before but, still some breakage. It has healed it about 80percent which is a plus. I think that over time and, another treatment I may have a full recovery. I would highly recommend this product but, just don't expect to see a complete 100 percent recovery after just the first application.

I have African American, thick, relaxed hair. My hair grows quickly but I have always had BIG problems with breakage. I have been using aphogee for a little over a year, and using it has allowed me to grow my hair out longer than it's been since I was a teenager (I started at mid chin length and now it's about 4 inches below my shoulders - and I get trims every 8 weeks too). I use it one to two weeks after I get each relaxer retouch (every 8 weeks). I was skeptical at first, because I had tried so many very expensive hair repair products out there (I am a product junkie!) and was doubtful that something that cost about 6 bucks would work. It's amazing and worth the time and somewhat unpleasant smell! I wash my hair using my own shampoo, apply the aphogee as directed, and sit under the dryer (it takes about 45 minutes for my hair to dry to the hardened state). Then I wash it out and apply a good moisturizing conditioner (the aphogee conditioner weighed down my hair a lot, as it contains mineral oil, so I use other conditioners - ion makes a good moisturing mask for instance that is cheap too). I keep the conditioner in at least 1/2 hour and if I have time, I sit under dryer with plastic cap on. After washing out conditioner, I sit under dryer or blow dry as normal (using some type of heat protectant product), then flat iron. The main tip I have is that you should make sure that you use a moisturizing conditioner right after the treatment (as opposed to a protein/strengthening one) and alternate between protein and moisturizing conditioners in subsequent washings. Without the moisturing conditioner, your hair can dry out due to aphogee's high protein content. I have never written a product review before, but I had to for this one - everyone I know has noticed my hair growth and healthy look, and I know this product is the reason!

Today was the second time I have used the Aphogee product for my badly damaged hair. The first time I used it was approximatly 4 years ago. I have a Level 8 blonde hair. My hair then was breaking off primarly on my right side. It seemed to have helped. I just recently had highlights put into my hair, and the hairdresser left the bleach on too long. My hair had been breaking off now for about a week, so I decided to try Nexxus hair Emergrecee two days ago I again was suffering severe hair breakage. I decided to give Aphogee another try. I follwed the directions carefully. I poured the bottle into a small bottle with a spout {much like a kethup bottle} Sectioned my hair off applied the solution to my hair. After drying hair with blow dryer { approx. 15 mins or so.} I rinsed carefully and applied conditioner with a shower cap to deep condtion. After all was complete, I proceeded to blowdry my hair. The ends were actually drier and more brittle than when I began! I don't hold the product to blame, although I feel that I shouldn't have used the two protein treatments so close to each other. So please check with your hairdresser before applying this product. I think in normal circumstances this could be beneficial to damaged hair.

IF you follow the directions!
This conditioner repairs severely damaged hair. Bar none, it is the best reparative treatment on the market.
However, it clearly states on the bottle, that you need to use the Aphogee MOISTURIZING conditioner AFTER the treatment and leave it on your hair for at least 2 minutes.
The container may not tell you that you "MUST" do this, but for those of you who are complaining that this conditioner dried out your hair, this may be the reason why.
If your hair is brittle, you MUST use a moisturizer for at least 2 minutes-5 minutes after this treatment. Then rinse your hair thoroughly <again>. The result should be hair that is shiny, bouncy, glistening, and soft.
The use of this conditioner is a TWO-STEP process.
It says right on the face of the bottle, "two-step treatment".

I'VE HAD APHOGEE USED IN MY HAIR YEARS AGO FOR BREAKAGE AND FIND MYSELF USING IT AGAIN.MY HAIR IS BREAKINGIN SEVERAL AREAS AND INSTEAD OF CUTTING IT ALL OFF-I STARTED USONG APHOGEE AND THE RESULTS WERE EXCELLENT.- SHOULD HAVE STARTED USING IT SOONER CAUSE I LIKE TO WEAR A LOT OF MICRO BRAIDS AND SUCH-BUT I WIL CONTINUE TO USE IT AND TRY MY BRAIDS AGAIN....THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT AND I'D RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ONE WHO'S EXPERIENCING SEVERE BREAKAGE...THANKS FOR THE PRODUCT....!!!!!

My last review was July 18, 2005. I am still having great results with this product. Little to no breakage or shedding. Will continue to use the entire product line. The hair is still getting stronger and stronger. No relaxer in over 2 yrs.

I have really thick & curly hair. I blowdry every 3 days and flat iron every day so this was a product i had to try for my dry, damaged hair.
It actually worked! it's not a miracle cream or anything but it definitely made my hair smoother, softer and shinnier. I will definitly do this again, plus it was super cheap.
only downside is it smells really weird, but it comes out when you rinse your hair so it's not bad.

I used to have hair that boke all the time, and i had hairs all over my pillow when i woke up!
used aphogee for the first time about 2 weeks ago and my hair is still in tip top condition.
my hair is short, so it didn't take long to dry.
