It isn't as great as it sounds. I have relaxed hair and supposedly it would work great with that type of hair. I really did not see a difference in my hairs texture with this product. I rather use mayonnaise or olive oil because it works best on relaxed hair.

I live by this stuff. My hair is natural and may I say it is spoiled. I can tell when it's time for another treatment because my curls will frizz and my hair just won't cooperate with me. It's difficult to hold a style and it starts to break and go stiff. I just ran across this when I visted a natural haircare site and they suggested that I try the product. It has put the moisture back into my locks and I am very pleased with the results. Some complain about the smell but hasn't beauty always had it's price. :-)

pretty long , but this is my story....when i first heard about it and read about it i said to myself..yeah yeah this aint going to work? i bought it and never used it.. i get my hair done at the Dominican salon and i m sorry but they dont really speak english nor understand it , i didnt want them to mess my hair cuz the instructions are not that simple..so whenever i was getting my hair done they used to break like crazy. i blamed it on stress ,my hair dresser tells me EVERY TIME she does my hair : " mami , mami, tu pello es bad, oh mami, breaking a lot , u need to do emergency treatment" lol ,.. i swear i know it by heart this line...i even switch to organic shampoo and everything,, if the label didnt say organic i wouldn t use it .. but my hair will fall anyway.. it would only break when it s wet.. so i learned to leave with it..until yesterday , i was home and was suppoz to go out with my bf.. he likes my hair curly so i deceided to wet it and put mousse on it..i was looking for someting and jumped on the aphogee treatment.. so i said to myself let me use it 2day hope it didnt expired or something..i washed my hair, put it on and blow dried it.. than i put the mousse over it.. it looked real nice.. i went to bed like that .. this morning i woke up , wet my hair again to go to skool than went to get my hair wash and set.. wow was i surprised.. she followed the regular routine.. it usually starts to break when rinsing of the deep conditioner.. you know how they will comb it. well she told me , mami no hair came out.. when she was puttin the roller, i was reading a magazine.. and she told me to go under the dryer,, than i looked at her , she was shock.. and that s when i realised that she didnt give me that mami mami ut hair is.... blah blah line.. she showed me the comb.. not even one strand of hair came out.. i am not exagerating.. not even one... i was shock,, she asked me what happen.. mousse it good mama,. good mousse.. i just laughed and when i got home i kissed the aphogee... it s amazing.. i dont know what magic portion they put into that bottle but it works.. i never wrote a review about anything,, but i felt like i had to share my experience someway.. ( i have AA hair )

Today I tried Aphogee after reading every last review posted and it worked pretty darn good.......
I have very soft baby fine hair that is relaxed and colored and unfortunately I had a mishap at a hair salon (they left in the relaxer a tad too long) that led to severe shedding in the back. Heartbroken because I do take exceptional care of my hair (no holds bar I love hair products)I needed to find something that would stop the shedding and put some kind of strength back into my hair. So I followed the instructions to the tee along with the advice of the ladies for a deep moisturizing conditioner, I also used the Aphogee Keratin and Green Tea reconstructor Leave In and voila I was able to comb through my hair wet with no hair in the comb, I was able to blow dry my hair and did not see any hair on my clothes, sink or floor and lastly I used my ceramic iron to curl my hair and there was no shedding even when I finished and combed my hair out for styling. I plan to use it again in the recommended time 6 weeks because I don't want to over do it but I feel a lot better about my here right now than before and I am looking forward to see where it will take my fine tresses. I do believe that if you use this treatment and follow the directions exactly using a proper deep moisturizing conditioner afterwards, a wide tooth comb and a little patience you will also see good results. Oh as for the smell it is far from pleasant but if you love your hair you will be able to withstand it.

I had to write mostly in response to those who say this product doesn't work. It works if you perform all of the steps. After you dry your hair until it feels brittle, you gently rinse it out with warm water and then you MUST use the Balancing Moisturizer. The bottle is not clear about how important that is. If you don't, you may find your hair breaking off more than before. The first time I used it, I made a mistake and thought I could just use a regular conditioner. It must be a moisturizer preferably the Aphogee Balancing Moisturizerm not a conditioner. I can't emphasize that enough. My hair is relaxed and colored. It was breaking and very dry. After the first use, I noticed my hair was much smoother. The second use did the trick. I use it regularly mostly a week before a relaxer treatment, occasionally a week after instead. I believe it makes relaxers last longer which is good because you actually want to get relaxers less frequently. My hair is very smooth and healthy appearing. If you like smooth styles, this Is the product for you.

I feel like I have been out of the loop on this one. I have used this treatment three times and it gets better each time I use it. The smell is a small price to pay compared to the wonderful results. My hair feels stronger and silkier at the same time, my split ends have greatly decreased, and it leaves my hair with a nice shine. Warning: If your hair is sensitive to protein this is definately not for you.

I've been a braid wearer for two and a half years now until recently i notice my hair has grew alot but it was really weak. i decide to buy the whole line and have not use anything sinc! my hair is strong as nail and 10 times thicker. i switch to cornrows just because i can pay attention to my hair more. what can i say, this product does work

I saw this product several times at my local beauty supply shop, but never paid attention to it--i'd never heard of it before. I saw it well reviewed on Folica so I ordered it when my hair suddenly started becoming brittle and flyaway after a gloss treatment (John Frieda Color Gloss--don't do it). I tried everything and then this. It's like a miracle, not only did it restore my hair, it made it better. My naturally curly hair straightens to glass smoothness and you would never believe I have a split end. I bought the moisturizing shampoo, and the results are even better. I am sold. I am never doing without this product. I am stocking up immediately.

i followed the instruction carefully and the result is not amazing or even a little better there is no difference before and after.im upset i thought its gonna be good from all those reviews :( but maybe after more than 1 application.i won't gave up.try maybe it will work for you.

Your product truly is a miracle!
In the past few years, each hair strand on my head has become thinner. Even though I have never had a problem with a home perm in the past, this time, my hair began to break off and clumps of hair started coming out when I tried combing it. I went to bed that night thinking that when I awoke, I would have no hair. I started searching for information online and I came across this website. The reviews were encouraging! I immediately ordered the treatment and the moisture balancing stuff. I was afraid to touch my hair because every time I did, more breakage occured.
I decided that I needed to do something while waiting for the treatment to arrive in the mail.
I went to a local beauty supply and met a hair dresser as I was looking for something to help until I could get the Aphogee. I asked what she would recommend, and she immediately replied, "Aphogee", and directed me to the shelf where it was located (I didn't know I could buy it locally). I grabbed a bottle, as well as the shampoo, and the moisturizer. As soon as I got home, I started the treatment. I could not believe the results! In the reviews, some women complained about the smell and the messiness---such a small price to pay for keeping your hair. The price was even reasonable--much cheaper than a wig.
Thanks for your website, and for selling a product that truly lives up to what it claims!

I do not kid with this product. I love it. I am so picky about things and my hair is so thin and fine and I color it etc. Anyway, this product makes all the difference in the world for my hair. I am thrilled with the whole line of Aphogee.

I have tried anything to restore my hair after three Japanese hair treatments. I have used expensive shampoos, went for a fancy (and expensive) salon treatments, hot oil... you name it, I tried it. I even cut my hair short to get rid of the damage, but it was still breaking here and there, and not as full as I want it to be.
I was looking for something on this site, and mistakenly came upon this product, read reviews and decided to try it. It is quite affordable, so I did not think twice.
Well, I tried it as soon as I got it, and LOVED the result. My hair for the first time in many years, feels thicker, there are much less split ends, and the hair is shiny. Everybody commented on how good my hair looked. My mom did it before she colored her hair this weekend, and my aunt tried it too. They both loved it.
I wish I knew about it years ago. It's the best working hair product that I have ever tried.
And also, do not forget the Moisturizer to rinse off the hair. Someone mentioned that is was important to do it after the treatment in their review.
Overall, I rated it 5 and I highly recommend it.

I have really over processed platinum blonde hair, not to mention it is extremely curly so I use a straightening iron every day. My hair was extremely dry and damaged, the ends felt like hay and I could see the fall of to the floor when brushing my hair. I asked my friend who is in hair school what to do about it and she recommended Aphogee Treatment for Damaged Hair and the Balancing Moisturizer.
I followed the instructions except I left the moisturizer in for ten minutes, and I was amazed that when my hair was blow dried no ends were breaking off and my hair seemed ten times healthier!!!
I followed this product with Bed Head Dumb Blonde Reconstructor and wrapped my hair in a plastic cap and hot towel for ten minutes and it left my hair smelling great and moisturized.
I wish someone would have recommended this product to me a year ago, my hair would probably be a lot longer!!

I was a hairdresser for many years and knew of this product , I always suggested it to clients who I felt could benefit from it but never thought that I would need to use it myself. I am a casino host and was doing a photo shoot for a billboard, of course they wanted long blonde hair, I had short brown hair, so I went to the beauty salon got my hair bleached. The bleach was left on way too long and my hair turned mushy, keep in mind the photo shoot was the very next day. I got extentions put on and did the photo shoot then immediately took the extentions off myself. you can only imagine the condition my hair ( if thats what you could call it) was in. It felt and looked like straw. was sooo uneven from all the breakage some of the breakage was so bad it was almost to my scalp. I started using this product, by the 3rd treatment my hair stopped breaking and is not starting to look better than it did before all the chaos started.

I didn't know anything about Aphogee before yesterday. My hair has been shedding, more like falling out, for the last 3 or 4 weeks. So I finally went to the beauty salon yesterday & my beautican pulled out a bottle of Aphogee. She said it would smell horrible but I didn't smell anything.
But don't get me wrong, it is extremly runny and sticky. I mean it's suppose to be nothing but eggs and protein so amagine how runny it would be if you broke eggs in your hair.
After she put me under the dryer for 45 minutes, rinsed, applied conditioner, put me under the dry for 10 more minutes, and rinsed again. I was done.
The final product was amazing. My hair didn't shed at all while she was styling it. I styled it this morning and my comb didn't have any hair left on it.
The only down fall to this product is the tangles it leaves in your hair. When you get under the dryer with this in your hair it gets extremely hard and leaves your hair tangled after you rinse. If you don't have the best type of hair and know that your hair gets tangled easily applying it after a perm is the best time. If your hair never tangles you don't have to worry about this. Unfortunitly my hair tangles and it took her an hour to get my hair untangled.

I used to have really long hair when I was a child. But the older I got and the more I started taking care of it myself, it broke off really bad. The worse was when I went off to college. I didn't really know what I was doing and I didn't take care of my hair. It broke off horribly. But now that I'm in graduate school, I spent a lot of time reading up on how to take care of relaxed African American hair. I came across this product, used it, and I've never looked back.
My breakage has stopped. My hair is like a whole new head of hair. I haven't had a trim for about five months and you couldn't tell, because I haven't been losing that much hair. After one treatment, my breakage stopped.
It's a real pain to apply, it smells and it's sticky, but there is NOTHING better for stopping damage on relaxed African American hair. Please go get this product. And use it correctly.
I condition before because my hair sometimes feel brittle after shampooing. And after I use the product I let the conditioner sit on my hair with a heat cap for about an hour. I don't blow dry my hair, but I do flat iron it. And it doesn't damage my hair because I pamper it in all other areas.
Please go get the product. Use it CORRECTLY and it will be one of the best things you could've done to keep your strands.
