Yea, so like I tried it and I really like the results. At first I was like "okay this product will maybe make it look good and shiny" but I was very pleased at the result and I do plan on using this again and again. For those who may have had a bad experience I don't think they followed the most important step and thats conditioning and moisturizing their hair afterwards. Very Important!!!!! Especially if this product is on ethnic hair. Oh and the smell is awful, but I can definitely deal with that.
Worth it!

After reading the reviews I was skeptical about trying Aphogee Treatment for Damaged hair. I had just gone from bleach blonde to brunette and my hair was suffering and frizzy so I tried it out. The treatment did not smell at all but it was VERY runny and sticky. After I rinsed out the treatment I applied the conditioner, waited, rinsed and dried my hair, and then WOW!
Here are UNTOUCHED photos from my cell phone. I am very happy with the product!

I decided to dye my hair black, then I got tired of it. I thought that I could dye it a lighter color. After I tried that and found out that it wasn't possible, I stripped my hair and found out the hard way that I didn't have enough stripper for my hair. So, I got more and stripped it again that day. My hair went from black to light orange. Then I dyed it brown. That's when my hair started breaking. It was a mess! I researched and discovered aphogee treatment. I bought some and followed the directions and it really did stop the breakage and made my hair look decent again. My hair's healthier now, but I still use Aphogee reconstructor once in awhile. No other conditioner makes my hair look and feel so good.

First, my hair is shoulder length. Just recently, my hair started shedding. Huges amounts of hair. Just like many of you, I did some research and came across this product. I've seen this product in the beauty supply stores, but never used it until tonight. Below, I will give a very detailed description. Before I go on, GO GET THE APHOGEE TWO STEP PROGRAM. THE APHOGEE SHAMPOO, PROTEIN TREATMENT AND THE BALANCING MOISTURIZER. THEY ARE FORMULATED TO WORK TOGETHER. DO NOT SUBSTITUE!
9:00 pm - Shampooed my hair once with the Aphogee Shampoo, as prescribed on the instructions. Honestly, you only need to shampoo once. If you shampoo twice back to back, you risk stripping your hair of natural oils, causing it to become dry and break. I read this online.
9:05: Towel dried my hair gently and removed excess water until it was almost dry, but not quite.
9:10: Used a wide tooth comb, and gently parted my hair in four sections. Used a clip to section off the other sections and started applying the Aphogee Protein Treatment at the nape of my neck, starting with the ends first. Your ends are the most dry and damaged. Smoothed my ends first, the proceeded to saturate the entire section. It's important to make sure your hair is dry (towel dry) so there is less drippage. So far, no drip. Proceeded to do the next three sections. (Remember, I parted my hair in 4 sections). Do not forget to concentrate on your ends, especially if you are in dire need of having your ends clipped.
9:30: First, a plastic cap is not necessary. Grab a good magazine and sit under the dryer to dry. If your hair is lengthy, then take the rest of your hair and just lay it on top. Trust me, it will stay. Stay under the dryer for at LEAST 20. I stayed for 25. Result? My hair was hard. The back (nape of kneck) was a little damp, but that is ok.
10:00: (Had to put my dryer away, get my plastic cap, etc.) I know this sounds strange, but I wanted to rinse my hair out in the shower so that my strands are smoothed. I stood in the shower so that the water is hitting my head from behind, bending my neck back so as to rinse it out. Do not agitate with your hands at first. The directions specify this. Let the water glide down your back. Once you feel it loosening up, then gently separate to ensure that it is rinsed out thoroughly. Give it a good rinse.
The next step, once all of the treatment is rinsed, hair may feel a little rough, but don't get nervous. IMMEDIATELY after you have rinsed ALL of the treatment out, apply a huge amount of the Balancing Moisturizer. Remember, it is a TWO STEP program, no substitutes allowed. The Aphogee line is made to work together to see positive results. Once you have applied an substantial amount, cover with a plastic cap. The steam and moisture form the shower will do the rest.
After 7 to 10 minutes, rinse out. Although I am somewhat against using heat on my hair, I found it to be necessary to use it tonight since it is getting late.
THE RESULTS: My hair has NEVER felt this wonderful. It was EXTRA SHINY, so much body, and my ends didn't look like they needed to be clipped, although I haven't had my ends clipped in almost two years. (Try it. Hair grows from the roots, not the ends. Plus, when you go to a stylist, they take too much off.) My hair was EXTRA SOFT, SHINY and not ONE strand of breakage while blowdrying!!!!! Also, I permed my hair myself two weeks ago, and believe me, it looks like a fresh perm!!! As I am typing this message to you, I can't keep my hands out of my hair. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! If you follow these instructions, you should have no problem. I will be using the Protein Treatment and Balancing Moisturizer from now on. I'm sold. But also remember to moisturize your hair every single day. Black hair needs moisture EVERYDAY. The moisturization should not stop after this treatment, but everyday. The texture of my hair even looks phenomenal. I hope this information was helpful to you. GOOD LUCK! My only regret is that I wish I had taken a before and after picture for you to see, but try it for yourself. You will not be sorry.

After a botched hair straightening treatment (thanks a lot, ms."experienced" stylist), my hair started to break off about a half inch from the roots. After reading the reviews of ApHOFEE treatment, I bought this, and the recommended shampoo and conditioner to use with it. The shampoo and conditioner dried my hair out and just plain out sucked, but the treatment itself was not bad. My hair didn't stop breaking off, but this treatment did improve the texture so it was less straw-like. I did feel the difference after six weeks, when my hair suddenly dried out. But by then, the hair had stopped breaking out, either due to this product, or the fact that all the damaged hair had fallen out. I do not need this product anymore, so i won't buying it, as it does not proclaim to moisturize or anything (although it did a little for me).

I have been using Aphogee treatments for more than 15 years.
I swear by it, and advise all my clients who are experiencing damaged hair to use this product. Previously, This product was only available to Licensed Cosmetologist, PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT
Only in the pass ten years or so has it been available to the non-licensed. 1. It is very important how you apply the treatment, 2. Make sure you let it dry very hard without disturbing the hair( you may need to be under the dryer for an hour or more depending on length & thickness of hair) 3. You need to rinse very throughly, (this is a very inportant step)if you don't rinse out all the product you chance the risk of hair breakage. So rinse, rinse, rinse, rinse again, the longer you rinse the better your chances of rinsing out all product. Ladies to obtain the desired effects on your hair you must follow the directions or go visit your salon professional & have them apply treatment.
Remember, If you experience breakage or hair that feels hard after appling Aphogee, YOU DID NOT APPLY IT CORRECTLY. The key is did you let it get as hard as it needs to get? Did you rinse, rinse rinse? I normally have my clients under the dryer as long as it takes to get product in the hair dry throughly to the scalp. I normally rinse for 15 - 30 minutes to make sure I get the best results for my clients. If apply right you will have very bouncy hair(if relaxed) and NO BREAKAGE AT ALL
PS Please follow with moisturising treatment, this is a 2-step process

Highly sceptical at first, but I am my own critic doesn’t matter if it had worked wonders on others or not I had to see how it would perform on me. Anyways after I had rinsed it out practically nada was coming well just enough to fill a two teaspoons but they were all small hairs. Note prior to this my hair was coming out in droves it was unbelievable, the most important thing about this treatment or any treatment is the after care; yes it is imperative to follow the instructions etc but especially for African Americans we must condition and moisturize our hair after the treatment.
After doing this treatment another must is to deep condition your hair at least once a week and moisturise moisturise its so important.
For those who were disappointed with this product note its not a miracle cure I think those people expected not even a strand of hair etc to come out which isn’t realistic at all!

i used it once and my hair does feel softer but the it still brakes, i'll try doing another threatment in a mont and see what happens. For now I wasnt blown away by the results I got but my hair does feel a little healthier

I have been having an issue with breakage. I decided to try this since its the miracle product for damaged hair. Well i still saw broken hairs on my shirt and comb after using it. So i was slightly disappointed with this product.
Great Product but could be a little easier to use...

This product did a great job at making my stressed out hair a little healthier. It's definatly a great product for the money. My only complaint is that it is very thin and trying to apply it evenly on my very dens hair caused a horrible sticky mess on everything it touched, and it kept rolling into my eyes and burning the heck out of them. A cream would be much better.

My young daughter's hair had become very dry and brittle. Her hair is natural(kinky curly hair). It started to break and shed more than I was comfortable with. She had split ends. I trimmed her hair and kept it moisturize but it was still breaking. Someone recommended Aphogee and I was willing to try it. I'm glad I did. After the first use I could tell the difference in her hair. Her texture felt much better and there was almost no shed hairs after the treatment. If the product is used EXACTLY as directed the results are amazing!!!!! If someone complains that it broke their hair off then they probably didn't follow the directions exactly to the tee.

I have really dry thin fly away hair. After using this product it definitely did add moisture to my hair and make it more managable.

From time to time when my hair is overprocessed by relaxers, it starts to shed very badly. About 10 years ago a hairdresser told me about Aphogee's protein treatment and how to use it. It stopped the shedding instantly, I mean instantly. I swear by it and recommend it to everyone I know. I love Aphogee's producs, they respond very well to my hair type which is fairly thick and very course.

My hair was brittle, coarse, dry, overall damaged due to highlighting, blow drying, severe heat, and straightening daily. I had nothing to lose and after my treatment was done, I was in shock. My hair felt so smooth and there was barely anymore frizz! My hair went from totally damaged to shiny and smooth. I really do love this product and will use it again.

From the other reviews of this product, I expected it to be life changing. I don't really think it was. Maybe because my hair wasn't beyond damaged before? I'm not sure.

My hair is relaxed, has highlights, I blowdry it one a week, and I flat iron it almost every other day. This product has drastically reduced the breakage in my hair. Iused to brush my hair, and at least 100 pieces would break off. Now it's only five or 6. It's amazing.

I have colored and relaxed my fine thin hair off of my head. Thanks to this product I still have hair left. You also can't beat the price! It's a must have for disintegrating hair.

Being deployed in Iraq and Afhganistan can have a bad effect on black women hair because of the environment, stress and hard water. I was happy to receive the Aphogee treatment in the mail to continue using it to save my hair from excessive shedding, breakage and thinning. Aphogee is my #1 best product for my hair.

This product saved my hair! I'm a cosmetoloy student and as every student I went alittle crazy with chemicals. Highlights, permanent color, relaxers I tried it all. I first heard about ApHOGEE on Long Hair Care Forum. Everyone seemed to like the results of this product so I gave it a try. Now I live by it, but people you HAVE to follow the directions. DO NOT SKIP ANY STEPS... ONLY USE IT EVERY 4 to 6 WEEKS (depending on hair type)

I found out about this product on youtube from someone who had done a review on it. My hair is soo thin and i dont have very much of it, sometimes depending on how i style my hair you can see my scalp due to my hair falling out. Recently I had the bright idea of putting layers of highlights in my hair which KILLED my hair. It was brittle and rough from the bleach. The hairstylist left it on for far too long its like white now. I felt hopeless I tried olive oil, mayonaise everything. I saw the review for this product and went to sallys to buy the whole line which ran me about 25-30 dollars (super cheap) I used it last night and yes it is smelly, I only left it on my hair for about 20 min while it dryed. I rinsed it out my hair was sort of in knots but when i added the balancing moister conditioner my hair felt soo soft. I blow dryed my hair and I cant believe this product, my hair is 100% better now, shinny healthy managable and best of all the britle feel is gone I will use this product religiously PLEASE do yourself a favor and just try it. FOLLOW the DIRECTIONS.
