this product really does its job. about 5 months ago my hair broke off because i was coloring it too much and relaxing it because my hair is not natural. so i decided to braid my hair for about 4 month and not relalx it. after i got my relaxer i decided to get a new shampoo and conditioner that would help my hair get strong again. now i think that is it best to stay with one brand, so i decided to try aphogee products after reviewing everyones results from this site. i bought the whole line of aphogee products. i waited a week after relaxing my hair to try the treatment. first i shampooed my hair with the shampoo for damaged hair. i shampooed it only once because i did not want my hair to lose some of its natural oils plus i had other steps to follow. after that i towel dried my hair and applied the protein treatment for damaged hair. i applied in sections starting with my ends first then the roots. it took about 10-15 min to apply. this product is very messsy but worth it at the end. i then sat under my hooded dryer for about 60 minutes. i let the product get my hair as hard as it could and then i got in the shower. i usually take about 15-20 minutes in the shower. when you rinse this product out, you have to really really rinse it well. the whole time i was in the shower i made sure that my head was atleat under the water. i massaged it every 5 minutes really well and just kept on rinseing. after that i applied the aphogee balancing moisturizer. VERY VERY IMPORTANT. DO NOT FORGET THE BALANCING CREAM. your hair needs the balance. this helps make it very soft, tangle free and shine. i massaged it for about 1 minute and covered it with a cap for about 3min. i rinse it out and then sprayed my hair with the aphogee eratin & Green Tea Restructurizer. and i added some pink oil moisturizer to my hair and wrapped it. after it wrapped it i sat under the dryer for it to dry. my hair came out so healthe and strong. even if you dont get the same result as me, your hair will definately have body and strenth. my edges were thin and now they are strong and i now see about 3 hair strands that shed. before i had about 15-20 pieces when styling my hair

This stuff works great! I have dyed my hair, permed it and done so much to it to damage it! One day at work I was scratching my scalp and pulling the ends to see if it was breaking, and hair started coming out as I pulled the ends! I was devestated! Then I went to a store and used Aphogee, the second time of use my hair completly stopped breaking! Then after the fourth time, it was thick and healthy, my boyfriend commented on it too! Its great! It even made my hair grow faster due to it not breaking off at the ends! Also, I did not have to go to get my ends trimmed as often because I had no split ends, and my trim lasted longer because of this!!! :)

Wow! This stuff is awesome. I am African American, and my hair was shedding bad. I would sit at work and run my hands to the ends of my hair and it would just come out! It was a nightmare! So, I used this product. And it worked! My hair stopped breaking! It is growing! On top of that it seems to have made it thicker and I have so much body! Its bomb! I dont trust a lot of things on the market, but this is great! After the second time using it my hair stopped coming out!

Yea, so like I tried it and I really like the results. At first I was like "okay this product will maybe make it look good and shiny" but I was very pleased at the result and I do plan on using this again and again. For those who may have had a bad experience I don't think they followed the most important step and thats conditioning and moisturizing their hair afterwards. Very Important!!!!! Especially if this product is on ethnic hair. Oh and the smell is awful, but I can definitely deal with that.

After reading the reviews I was skeptical about trying Aphogee Treatment for Damaged hair. I had just gone from bleach blonde to brunette and my hair was suffering and frizzy so I tried it out. The treatment did not smell at all but it was VERY runny and sticky. After I rinsed out the treatment I applied the conditioner, waited, rinsed and dried my hair, and then WOW!

I work at a Sally Beauty Supply store where we sell this product. I have heard all the complaints that the people only giving it 1 star say: it smells bad, my hair is breaking still , it didn't detangle my hair , but usually when I dig a little bit deeper they used it wrong. There are very specific directions , and they should be followed.
1)only use it if you have damaged hair that is in need of protein , it wont fix dry hair problems , its not a moisturizer.
2)Always use a moisturizing conditioner after it - protien is good for the hair in small doses and it should always be followed with a moisturizer to make the hair more flexible.
3)Dont aggitate the hair while drying - it will get hard and it will break off. But you need the heat - heat opens the cuticle and allows it to penetrate better.
4)Please dont use it on a regular basis , once every 6 weeks or so ... any potent protein treatment like this can only be done every now and then without risking more breakage.
5) yes it smells bad ..very very bad . it kinda lingers around for a while, but having really nice hair is worth a few hours of smelling bad.
I have used this product for years , even my mom used it while I was growing up and she swears by it. We both have lots of hair , slightly coarse , wavy and long. Even though I dont chemically process my hair - the curling and straightening irons have done thier damage and I believe this product keeps my hair looking awesome.

I've used it twice already (once a month) and I do like the way my hair feels afterwards. I follow the instructions VERBATIM which I think is the key in getting the results you desire. This product IS NOT to be used after every shampoo.
It's smell is very strong and can burn the eyes so be careful. After using the TWO-STEP, you must apply the BALANCING MOISTURIZER immediately afterwards. I have noticed more elasticity in my hair, less hair in the comb during normal styling. My hair looks and feels healthier. Probably one of the best STORE BOUGHT hair products i've invested in.

First off this product is amazing! My last relaxer was almost 5 months ago so I had some new growth and it was very puffy and course. I was having doubts to use the product since I didn't want to tangle my hair even further. I had experience with many different hair products & hair growth products in order to try and get my hair to be healthy...since watching Ateya on youtube describe her hair regimen & instructions on how to use aphogee protein products I gave it a try. Although it was kinda expensive because I bought nearly the whole line of Aphogee, for using it the first time it was worth it. Even though I still need to experiment on this product a little further, I am sure I won't be disappointed. The only con to me was when after I washed the treatment out and added the pro vitamin leave-in , Tea tree reconstructor and a dime size of CHI silk infusion it made my hair feel heevy whne I blow dried it, also my hair felt weird as if I put to much products in, so I washed it out again, left some Nexxus Humectruss cond. (LOVE THAT STUFF) for 15mins, wash it out, only sprayed some Keratin Tea tree reconstructor & dime size amount of Chi, combed it, blow dried and flat ironed, It came out looking soooo soft and silky. I wasn't expecting much and thought it would be another product to the garbage but it came out better than I expeted for not having a relaxer in recently. If you have dried, dull hair w/ lots of breakage and split ends, buy this treatment, its worth it! Just remember though READ INSTRUCTIONS on the BOTTLE CAREFULLY, this treatment is very strong and is to only be taken and DO NOT forget to buy MOISTURIZING BALANCER this is what gives your hair moisture again.
Not good for all hair types!

I used this product as directed on my very fine, thin, shoulder-length color-treated hair but just let it air dry, no heat applied. I got good results, but I just can't get past the STENCH. Used 2 deep conditioners immediately after 1st rinse, but to no avail. I caught the whiff of this stuff for days later...and I tried to stay downwind of friends and possible love interests. Think I'll stick with the Redken salon Shot Phix treatment. Yeah, it's pricier, but the trade-off is not having the smell of my own hair make me gag for a week. And I actually got a better conditioning result.

I have dyed my hair every six weeks for 7 years - so my hair was in pretty bad shape to begin with.... then I decided to bleach my hair to platinum blonde from black. I couldn't even brush my hair without clumps falling out. My hair was so bad that it looked wavy and even curled when naturally my hair is poker straight. I followed the exact instructions of this product and it drastically improved my hair after 1 use. Now - 9 months later and after multiple uses my hair feels and looks amazing. If this product costed me 50 - 100 bucks per use I would pay that. Yes it smells bad (I gagged) but it is worth any amount of money.
Huge difference in hair after first use.

I just completed the treatment. I am African American with relaxed hair. My hair has been breaking off in huge chunks due to poor diet and just plain neglect. After removing the product and applying a deep conditioning treatment and blow drying I can see a huge difference. I had a little breakage but not the mass quantity of breakage that I am used to seeing in the sink and on the floor. My hair is much thicker as well. It is really soft which came as quite a surprise to me. I agree with the other posts - you have to follow directions. I don't have a dryer to sit under so I used my blow dryer to harden the product. My arms are killing me but I really wanted to get this right because I am tired of all the breakage. I am so pleased with the results I will purchase a dryer that I can sit under - the product is worth it.

When I first read these reviews I never thought I'd be writing one...well here I am. The product was SO VERY GOOD that I took time to write this review. My hair was FRIED after going from black to blond to brown all in three days. It was kinky and life-less and very weak (I good pull a hair by both ends and it would break instantly--no tugging). Then I put this stuff on...with in THE FIRST APPLICATION my hair improved 100%. I'm seriously not exaggerating. I became nearly as good as before my first dye job. I highly highly recommend it. I'm going to stock up (in case they ever decide to discontinue).

I read lots of reviews and followed one left by a customer. My hair feels like my hair again. My hair was shedding at least 30 strands. I was too scared to comb it. I did the 2 step treatment and so far so good. I still have some shredding but no more than 10 strands. My hair feels strong and looks healthy. You have to try it. Follow the instructions exactly. I used a hair dryer and it was fine. Good luck.

Im a 37 year old african american female with natural hair, I tried this product for the firt time on 5-2-09. After I washed it out of my hair i could tell that there was a huge difference in my hair. It was alot thicker and stronger and I had no shedding at all. This is a great product if you have natural hair in my opion. These are the products I used in this order.
1. Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair
2. Aphogee treatment for damaged hair
3. Aphogee balancing moisturizer
4. Olive Oil replenishing conditioner(deep penetration cond.
5. Aphogee keratin & greentea restructurizer
6. Aphogee pro-vitamin leave-in conditioner
7. Chi Silk Fusion.
I know it's alot of products but my hair was breaking off like crazy my scalp was itchy all the time.

My hair changed so much after the first treatment. Its shiny, Healthy, my hair isnt shedding..its great. i just need to find a good daily mosturizer that isnt heavy. but my hair is flowing like a girl with naturally straight hair. everyone sees the difference after only the first time!!!!

I'm from the caribbean and I recently heard about aphogee protein treatment for damage hair, so i went online and read the reviews after seeing so much great reviews about the product i decided to try it. I follow every step and my hair started to obtain body and feelt stronger...but i hardly mositurize and saw my hair started to dry out fast and break but after using olive oils,indian hemp, tea tree oils my hair never dries out so easily( those are my main products i been using for years and they never fails me). its a great product and i would recommend it to anybody

I have long naturally ash blonde hair that I have been bleach foiling for many years. About 6 weeks ago I decided to color it brown. Even before the color I noticed a lot of breakage and split ends , sometimes even as high as 3 inches from the ends!
After reading the reviews, I have put the aphogee protein treatment on with a colorist brush on divided hair sections, this way it was a controlled application with hardly any drip. Then I sat under my bonnett dryer for about 30 min (long enough for one Sex and the city show :-), until the hair was dry. Followed with moisturizer... The first thing I noticed is that my frizzy ends were drying at the same rate as hair near the top. I think it is because they are not as porous now. I let the hair air dry and it was silky soft with volume and not frizzy at all! 24 hours after I used the protein treatment, I got my hair trimmed and colored again and a week later no breakage, no split ends... Before the treatment I would have had all of the above damage even 1 week after a trim! Aphogee website info said that the color will hold better after the treatment, so the jury is still out on that. But I absolutely loved the teatment results and will definitely do it again before the next color!

i really like this product.i would have given it 5 stars but i only use it like 2 x's a month but so far it has been doing good. i am very picky as to what i use in my hair so to me it must be a pretty good product. also im 33 and my mom has been using aphrogee products since i can remember. it leaves your hair smelling good and soft. it is also a trusted name in hair care products
