Iam a woman of color and a hair freak! I will try any and everything to promote my hair to its potential. My hair has been permed, colored, blow-dryed, flat-ironed and curled. THIS IS THE ONLY LINE THAT I HAVE FOUND TO WORK FOR DAMAGED HAIR. I dont usually use the shampoo, It works just like a regular shampoo does. I might use like Redken (All Soft), TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey or Color.smart since I recently got my hair colored. The line is amazing (treatments). My hair growth increased by 1/4 to 1/2 inch by month. I get comments on my hair DAILY about how soft and bouncy it is!

i like the product but like someone else said it leaves hair "sqeaky" but if you use a good conditioner i think it will help repair the damaged hair.

It was very effective at making my hair feel soft and healthy even when my hair was not that damaged to begin with. It is a really good shampoo but I gave it a 4 because I don't think it lathers as well as other shampoos

Although the product did not completely eliminate shedding it did reduce it significantly. Where once before my hands would be carpedted with hair while styling, only a few strands of hair is lost. I also noticed a lot less hair coming out while combing. It has reduced my issue of shedding and I am more than happy.

i finally came out of wearing weaves and my hair was in serious shock. Thin, limp, but long. I'm older, thus, with several years of wearing extensions, my hair no longer had the bounce and resilience as in my youth. Someone recommended Nioxin to thicken my hair. i tried the #8, after not seeing great results with #2..
My semi-thick shoulder length hair went from thin sides and long to NO sides, and THIN LIMP HAIR..it was embarrassing..I thought my boyfriend would leave me when he saw how "see through" thin my hair had become..The Nioxin damaged my hair so badly..
I found this Aphogee shampoo at a beauty supply store, and figured - what the heck..can't get any worse. I can't believe the difference in my hair texture.at least what i have left holds the curl in my hair after satin rollers at night. I am so glad i found this product..
I know that it has been said that after a while you have to change up your products. but since using this shampoo, i'm going to be hard pressed to find a decent substitute. my hair journey has had a setback..but i think i'm on my way again...

MY HAIR HAD BEEN SHEDDING THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS I USED THE SHAMPOO & NOTICED A DIFFERENCE IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH TANGLES THIS WORKS LIKE A CHARM I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SHAMPOO

At this price, this is a great product. It isn't as moisturizing as some more expensive products, I still need a conditioner/detangler after the shampoo. Not bad overall though

Usually I expect a shampoo for damaged hair to leave a feeling of protection but this shampoo feels like it strips my hair. Not too crazy about it.

I bought the shampoo at a beauty supply store. actually I bought the set. It came with the shampoo, protein conditioner, and moisturizing conditioner. I used it a few times and people keep telling me that my hair is growing. I absolutely love it.

It is okay, helped a little. It's just average. Doesn't make a big difference. Not really worth the money. I probably will try to buy other products.

I have purchased so many shampoos for my hair, coloring and blow drying and the curl iron have damaged my hair BUT this product really helped. My hair now has shine and manageable. Would highly recommend. Going to buy again.

I don't really have damaged hair but this shampoo works great on my hair and leaves it manageable. I highly recommend this shampoo. Everyone has different types of hair so I guess it depends on what problems/concern you have with your hair but all I know is it worked great on my hair and I will purchase again!

I've used the ApHOGEE product line for about a year now and I think they're pretty good. my hair is growing so much with use. I get compliments about it's condition often. The shampoo is ......not really that great of a purchase. I think as long as you use the conditioners you'll be in great shape. The shampoo is nothing special, I don't think it really does anything more than regular shampoo.

I had just gotten my hair permed and needed something to soften and tame it back into a nice bouncy curly "do" and this shammpoo did the trick. I've gotten several compliments on how nice my hair looks. As a perm shampoo, it is pretty good.

When I used this shampoo I got a little worried because my hair felt really strange while it was wet; like wet fabric is the best I can describe it. But since I started using it ( along with other aphogee products) my hair is so strong and silky feeling! All the aphogee stuff gets an A++ from me!

I has been 6 months since my last review. I am still having great results with this product line. I use the treatment, balancer, recontructor, leave in conditioner, hot oil treatment and shampoo. The hair feels wonderful.

Ok so my hair is pretty damaged from bleaching, coloring etc etc. So I decided to give this whole line of Aphogee products a try. I just endured major hairloss from just using this shampoo. :o(
So after I made it through that painful experience I then applied the treatment which was fine because most of my hair fell out with the shampoo anyways. The moisturizer sucks, you are better off using Loreal Mega moisture instead.
Overall this was a horrible product. Will never repurchase! I have had way better results and 10x less hairloss with Nexxus Emergencee. Good luck

I recently started using this product and I love it. I really am pleased with the way my hair looks now. It seems to have alot more body and softness. To anyone that wants softer, prettier hair, I definitely recommend this product! Even after the first day of using this, someone asked me what I was unsing on my hair. I highly reccommend, and please, Aphogee, keep this product coming!!!

I used aphogee shapmoo about ten years ago when I had relaxed hair and people used to stop me on the steet and comment on how beautiful my hair looked. I then changed my hair back to it's natural state and stopped using the product, now my hair is relaxed again and I would honestly tell anyone who wants beautiful hair to use this product. It is especially good for chemically treated hair and will correct any damage, plus your hair never will will get tired of this product because it corrects the damage and restores your hair to a beauty that you will not believe. All of the aphogee products are highly recommended by me, I would not use anything else.
