Can you use this stuff as a leave in. The directions didn't really clarify. Just says use as a detangler on wet hair. Question posted by Lisa Tue Jan 15 2008 Submit your answer Dry As A Bone
I used the Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer a couple times (following the directions) and my hair ended up even more dry than before I used the product. I assume that I did not use the product correctly. Can you please email me directions that are written in a "watered down" fashion so I don't make the same mistake? The same thing happened with the Keratin Reconstructor (my hair was dry as a bone) even when I used both products according to the directions. I would love to use Aphogee products, but I do not want to continue to get the same results...please help. Question posted by Stacey Tue Aug 29 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Michele, CA

In addition to the Moistuizer and reconstructor, I use the aphogee hot oil treatments. I rinse the hair first with water. Then I add in the hot oil treatments, I put in the shampoo while the hot oil is still in the hair. Then I rinse it both out at the same time. Next, I use the moisturizer and leave in 5 minutes and rinse out. The hair is drier, however, it is stronger. This has been working for me for the last three years. I hope this helps | | Reply by kb

No, you didn't use this conditioner improperly.
It dries out the hair, the ends especially.
I now have to give myself a "trim" to get rid of the split ends this crap caused. | How Long?
I treated my hair last night with the damaged hair treatment using the balancing mostiurizer after it, my hair is better but still breakage, i just wondered if its ok for me to do this treatment again a day after or 2? When dryer the hair with the treatment on, do you have to wait till it is rock hard. It was hard when i took it off but i dont know if i was ment to keep it on longer? Could this be why it hasnt worked as good?? Question posted by Jason Tue Aug 22 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Stacey

I honestly do not recommend it according to Aphogee's website it says that it should be used every 4 to 6 weeks. I would recommend that you wait 6 weeks. To answer your second question, you do have to wait until your hair is stiff like twigs. Then you rinse thouroughly, I mean very thouroughly because your hair will break off if it is not fully out of your hair. I hope this helps. | Aphogee Shampoo & Moisturizer
I have just bought the Aphogee Shampoo and Moisturizer because my 2 daughters both had relaxers; however, I let the relaxers grow out and wanted to know if I could use these products at home or does a professional hair stylist need to treat their hair with these products? I have been growing my daughter's hair out for the last 3ys now. I use the aphogee products exclusively on her hair at home. The hair is doing very well. I use the treatment and mositurizer every six weeks. I use the shampoo, hot oil treatments, moisturizer every other week. |
