Not good for thick hair

I purchased this hair dryer despite some reviews that the boar hair bristles did not go through thick hair...thinking maybe these women have thicker hair than mine, (even though my hair dresser repeatedly tells me I have the thickest hair she's ever seen). Well, the bristles do not go through my hair either. The wide-tooth comb attachment works better, but does not style well. Fortunately, the brush attachment from my old dryer fits on this one, so I use that, even though it slips off from time to time. It does get very hot...so did my old dryer, which they don't seem to make anymore :(
Positive points about this dryer are that it's not super loud or heavy and the price is cheap.
