Not so bad...
Reviewer: megan   2009-04-10

I've owned this product for almost three years now, I purchased it at Walmart for under $20. I've never really had a problem with it, in fact, it's always done what I needed it to. Definitly not the best though, but worth the price. My hair has always been reasonably easy to care for, it's fairly long, average thickness and mostly straight. And this straightener worked great. It's VERY durable, (I don't know how many times its been dropped, stepped on, smashed, etc.) After about 3 years, it's still working, although the heat setting broke awhile back. It won't set at a specific setting, and will come on whatever setting at random. But overall, for the price, I can't complain.

It worked great the first couple of months but now the coating is coming off and it burns my hair so badly i get split ends now and nothing is going to make it better this iron ruined my hair, but i have to admit it has some of its good sides still i don't recommend it and ive been using it for 8 months.. it won't last anymore than a year

Not Very Hot...
Reviewer: She She from Cali   2009-01-25

I bought this iron about 6 months ago...and I use it about once every 6 weeks. I have thick hair and this iron doesnt get hot enough at all... it also doesnt stay hot every so often i have to wiggle the dial so that it will heat up again. The paint fades. and if i want to get my hair even a little straight i have to go over and over and OVER again and it still doesnt do anything but snag my hair! This iron is not worth anything.. spend the money on a good quality iron that will last!

Coating peeled off
Reviewer: Diana from St.Louis, MO   2008-12-11

When I used Andis ceramic iron the first two months, it was great. After that the coating started to peel off and it went from straightening my hair to "burning" it! There is a reason some ceramic irons are so cheap.
