well i bought this at ulta in mid feb. it is now april, that's how long it lasted. i noticed it didn't straighten my hair as well as it did in the first week, it pulled my hair and my hair just looked like crap! well the paint on the plates kept flaking off. i was looking in the mirror the other day i and i noticed i had black stuff in my hair i thought it was mascara at first it was the paint!!!!!! do not buy this. it's junk!!!!! if someone tells yoy this is goodlike a girl at ulta told me investigate it more. DO NOT BUY THIS

well ive owned this for almost 3 years and its not let me down. the durability is great.
i do have to go over the pieces twice but it come out nice.
and it never pulled my hair it kept it straight for 2 days and i could flip my hair out w it aswell.
its affordable and overall i would recommend this for some one with not so wild hair. i did my moms hair which is thick and wavy it took a while. its a good starter iron for teens and if you want something at a reasonable price.
im retiring it and gonna try a sedu. hope it goes well
not for thick curly hair

I bought a Solia Tourmaline hair straightener about 2 years ago. it was the best ever! well recently my dog got a hold of it. not a good thing. so needless to say it doesnt work. lol. so i have to use my moms which is the andis. i have really thick curly [& very frizzy hair] and it doesnt straighten my hair very well. i will be very glad when i get a new one.
i love it!

well yea....i hav *thick, curly, tangly, frizzy* hair due to perms, highlights, and overstaightening....i started using this straightener last year...it wus my first staightener....and yea....it fries my hair but thats what treatments are for...anyways if i want my hair to look pretty and actually straight I have to stand there for about two hours and thiry minutes to get straight hair..babying each peice...and then in a couple of hours,a little bit of humidity and 10 minutes running in gym class my hair looks wavy and frizy.....i think this flat iron is best for thin hair.....but its done soooooo well the past year.....the first three hours of school my hairs alright....great..but it doesnt stay like that..which really sux
