Essential for flat irons, Amika Heat Proof Styler Mat / Travel Case safely stores your flat iron while also protecting countertops and other surfaces from heat damage from irons.

This heat-safe flat iron pouch holds your favorite flat iron or curling iron at temperatures up to 500F (260C).   Protect irons when not in use. You can simply place them in the pocket for easy storage.  It can also be used as travel pouch. Made of 100% heat proof Terylene and features a Velcro closure.

Cautions/Warnings: Do not place iron in the pouch while it is still plugged in. Always unplug it before placing in the pouch. Iron plates should be clamped together before sliding into pouch. Do not allow the pouch, or any other fabric, to come in between the plates, especially while they are cooling.

not worth the money

I bought this last year when I bought my Sedu straightner. The velcro strap does not stay closed, so it doesn't work if you want to store your straightner in it. I just bought a new Sedu for my daughter and it came with a free Folica mat that actually holds the straightner in place. I am thinking of buying another one of those mats and just pitching the one I have.

Waste of Money

Unfortunately, when I bought this travel pouch for my flat iron I thought I was getting a deal but it wound up being just a waste of money. Basically its a piece of felt that is glued and home sewn together. It costs just the right amount that its not worth your money to send it back even though you know you won't use it.
