Alterna Hemp Seed Straightening Balm is a cream gel that effectively straightens both wavy and curly hair.

Hemp seed oil increases elasticity, manageability and shine. Seaweed extract softens hair and decreases static. PVP/DMAP copolymer reduces frizz. Silicones for shine and conditioning.

Directions:

Apply throughout towel-dried hair. Use a brush to pull hair straight while blow-drying from roots to ends. To tame frizzies, gently emulsify on fingers and apply to desired areas. This is a great product, as HempSeed Oil is it's foundation....It's nourishing, sleek, soft & with a pleasantly mild aroma. I like to put it on my hair at night to leave in for a nourishing night treatment. Light, non-greasy formula adds sleek shine without weighing it down. I do believe, however, that you need to start from the basis of good shampoos & conditioners & that styling products alone are not going to solve all your bad hair problems...Like the HEMP line best of all the Alterna.

I have really curly and fuzzy hair. I'm in california by the beach so you get the picture. I use this product and mix it 50/50 with Redken smooth down and this combo has been my savior for a few years now. It's not watery or greasy like other straightening products. I don't know how to explain it because it's really not stickey either. It's the perfect texture and it helps fight humidity, and it smells great.
