I am very pleased with this product. It seems to work really well for my hair type,(thick and curly). I only have used it on the medium setting and that seems to be enough to do the job. There did not seem to be a lot of selection in the 2" size irons, so I am glad this one works so well.

This is awkward to handle. No way to wrap ends of hair around it without burning your hand. Not good enough. Years ago a friend used a curling iron and I recall she was able to easily wrap hair and handle it. There may have been a steam feature also where she pressed a button and got a puff of moisturing steam. I wish I could find it on the market now...

My only regret is that my hair isn't longer. But I plan on keeping this around till my hair grows out. It worked great. Was a good price. Easy to use.

way toooo big to be useful. and you have to be careful b/c it gets VERY hot and this may damage your hair & burn your hands/face.

2 inch curling iron is rare product. The time between the turn-on to ready-to-use is fairly short and it does the curling job very good.
points to be improved:
It is heavier than others, the handle is too thin and too long, comparing to the curling head part, and the electric coil is too thick and stiff, so that it is difficult to fold or to straighten. Otherwise, it does very good job.

I purchased this product as a gift for a friend. She had been looking for a 2 in curling iron and wanted a marcel, but they get very expencive, and this product was priced at the lowest price I had found. She loves the curling iron and I love shopping here. Thanks.

I love this curling iron ihave the 1 1/2 inch one and i think it works good even though i just got it, i'm going to get this one soon i dont have the hot tools version of the curling iron i have the helen of troy one they are exatully the same product just different names

I have frizzy and thick hair. Most curling irons don't get hot enough. This one does. Leaves my hair silky and beautiful.

This curling iron gives me the smoothness and volume that you usually only get when your stylist meticulously blows out your hair with a large brush. This is an awesome product!

After about 30 years of short hair and combining that with hitting the big 5-0, I decided to let my hair grow. It is naturally curly and if left to dry on its own resembles something akin to that of Shirley Temple. I have tried EVERYTHING on the market to get the look that I want. Special blow dryers, large hot rollers, expensive shampoos, conditioners, de-frizzing products---wayyy to much time and awfully hard getting to the back of my head. When I saw this curling iron I took the gamble and WON! While flat ironing worked, it just left my hair way to flat. This iron is easy to use, takes little time to heat up, and leaves my hair shiny and just the right amount of body and curl that I've been craving. Even when it is very curly from letting it dry naturally, it still comes out great. The only regret I have is not knowing about this product sooner.
cord problem

great curling iron. lousy cord design. too much cord - and because the cord is too thick, storage is awkward. finally, after just a little over a year, my cord twisted so much where the cord meets the iron, that the wires became exposed, it started sparking, so i had to throw it away. great curling iron. lousy cord design.

This is a wonderful curling iron. Huge size for subtle curls. I used to use a straght iron, but I prefer this iron because it gives the ends a nicer shape. Very high heat when you need it. I did not have a problem with getting my hands to use it. The only problem is that it is so effective that if you do not turn the iron the correct way you can get a weird crimp. Once you get the hang of it, it is no problem.

Fast shipping! A very nice curling iron. It is more for giving body to your hair than giving it any curl. Overall a nice value.

Professional, well-made, and gets super hot. I have hard-to-curl hair, and I only need to use level 4. I can only imagine what the higher levels must be like!
It came with extra springs in case the spring breaks, but so far no problems at all. Recommended.

I loved the effect this curling iron had, but after a few weeks it broke. I have to return it to Hot Tools now, and will be without a styling appliance for a few weeks while the warrantly processes.

I have had this curling iron for about 5 years now. I have thick, coarse naturally curly hair and I use this to straighten my hair. I prefer it to a flat iron becasue I can also curl the ends and the hair around my face. I love the heat adjustment because no other irons were hot enough. A great, dependable product!
