My hair ws being very stubborn about being curled. I tried different curling irons as well as different styling products. Nothing seemed to work. I ordered this curling iron hoping it would work. It is the most amazing curling iron!!!! It heats up fast, and my curls last all day! This is the curling iron to buy!!!!!!!

this curling iron gets hot quick and makes nice medium to large curls. hot tools is a good brand their flat irons are awesome too.

This gem heats up quickly and gives me the curls I want for a night out on the town, or a special occasion. I only wish it were ceramic because it's supposed to be healthier for my hair... I don't want to fry it!

I've been working with a flat iron, trying to get some bend in my hair and could never achieve the looks I wanted until I got this curling iron!
I have shoulder length fine hair. This curling iron gives me perfect bend in all the right spots. I love flipping the ends out with this curling iron as it gives a nice bend without any "curls".
If you're looking for bend, this is the product for you!!!
This is an exellend procduct and NOBODY does it better than FOLICA.COM!!!! I love you guys!

i have very thick, long, straight, rebellious hair, but this mighty 2" iron handles it quite well. it gives me beautiful hair full of body and bounce - going from zero to amazing quick! easy to handle, heats up in a snap. love it!

I worked in salons for years and used Hot Tools for straightening and shaping in ways no 'FLAT' iron can do. It works excellent, and then it dies. It just stops getting hot. Dead. This is the 4th one that died, 3 of them within a month of the warranty expiring, and one died within 3 months of purchase. So frustrating!!

I have shoulder-length, very thick, frizzy, bleach-blonde hair. I had been using a straightener, but I didn't like the way it left my ends (too straight and dull when I left it straight, too curled and "perky" when I flipped up the ends with the strightener). Prior to that, I'd used a regular wide 1 1/2 inch curling iron and didn't like how flipped up/under the ends looked with it.
This is the best tool yet for controlling/smoothing my crazy hair into normal-looking hair -- without getting over-curled or uncurled ends. I had seen on TV that super-models with long hair had these extra-huge curlers on their heads -- and ended up with smooth, straight hair full of body -- so that's how I got the idea to try the 2-inch curling iron. I've been using it for weeks now and really like it. I'd buy 2 1/2 inches if they made it! My shoulder-length hair still likes to flip under and out as it pleases, but I no longer look like Mary Tyler Moore in the 1970s anymore when it does it.
This iron gets really hot, but you can easily control the heat. (I use the hottest setting and haven't burnt my hair at all, even though this iron seems to get as hot as the professional straightener I paid $130 for.)
I wear size small gloves, but I don't think the iron is too wide to use at all. All the parts that your hands operate are the same width as on a smaller-width curling iron.
The only negative I can see is that it's hard to reach the roots, unlike with a straightener, which can go all the way to the roots. For some reason, I cannot get within about 1/2 inch of the hair growing out of scalp due to the shape of the iron's barrel. I haven't seen any negative effects in my finished hairstyle, although not being able to curl the hair all the way down to my scalp may be a problem for someone else deciding between purchasing this very wide-barrel iron versus a regular straightener iron.

I love this product. I have natrually curly hair and a lot of it. It gives me volume with a flip at the end and lots of shine. I have been searching for an iron this big to tackle my monsterous amount of hair, I am always satisfied. Thanks.

the hot tools 2" is awesome. it cleans up the ends nicely for a slight curve inward or a flip outward. if you start curling at the roots, it adds volume. in short, this is the ultimate "finish" to the hair, making it look like you got a blowout.
i have very unruly, naturally wavy hair. to get the best look, i dry my hair first, then section it into about 8 big sections. the hair at the very bottom of my scalp, i flip up. everything else, i curl in. somehow, this method makes it look like i got the ultimate blow out, then took a nap to get vavavoomy bed hair! (not the nasty kind, either!)
every girl with layers and hair beyond shoulder length should have this curling iron. it's the bomb.

This is the first tool that I have ever been able to curl my hair to the exact style that I have ever wanted :):):) I am 28 and it took me this long to find this product and I will probably be barried with it.Thank You for making this product.

I purchased this iron in Sept, 2006. I've had it only 6 months. The cord is pulling away from the iron exposing wires. After plugging it in, sparks flew and blew a fuse. I would expect better quality for this price. Buyer beware.
