I have some build up on my curling irons, I have about 4 of them ranging from 1/", 1", 1 1'2" 2". I'm wondering what the proper way to clean them.(I use them for personal use and for the local high school, I volunteer to help with hair - usually quite a bit of hair spray is used to keep the curl in for the whole performance.)Thanks for helping me the proper way to clean the build up on the curling iron.

yes, i have your same type of hair and even $9 curling irons from walmart work fine, just take care of your hair and deep condition every time after you use the iron. :) |
do they work in England?
will they work in England, because the plug socket and the wireing is dfferant to the one in America and they might not plug in and not fit in the plug socket but it would be too late because i have alredy bought them so do they work in England?

Don't do it! The voltages are different in the outlets. I brought my hairdryer with me to London...it's a blue color and it actually glowed red when I plugged it in to use! I almost burnt it out. I unplugged it immediately. So unless you want to get electrocuted or blow out a fuse, I wouldn't recommend it! Also, that was WITH an adapter, which will not change the voltage (the tools will have different voltage requirements from those in England if purchased in the US). A converter might work. |

no i just wash my hair regular and then when it dries i use the iron. if you like you could use shampoo that is heat activated. that helps. | | Reply by Robyn

I find that this curling iron straightens my shoulder-length curly hair more than it gives waves. The straightened hair has a wave to it, but not much of one. More like it "guides the ends where you want them to!" If you want waves, I would go with a 1-inch. The ceramic curling irons do seal the cuticle and make curls larger and more sleek, hence the more straightened affect. Hope this helps! |

no answer here but i have a hot tools curling iron a 2 inch model # 1111 and i plug it in and does not heat up at all only had it for a good 7 months can you please email me back with something i really do love this curling iron it does wonders thank you so much
